LIVING WATERS Today and the next two Sundays are the scrutinies. We, God and the Church, look closely at ourselves to see how we are following the Lord. How thirsty are we for the living waters offered by Jesus? Do each of us realize that the Lord is the way, the truth and the life? Do we, do you, witness to his place in your life? Our faith is based on this witness, and on that of our ancestors who have been touched and nourished by the risen Lord. We sponsor and encourage each other in our faith. Lord, help us! Texto: Philip J. Sandstrom, STD © 2001, OCP. Derechos reservados.
From the Desk of Father Kurt
In the Gospel this Sunday Jesus addresses the hunger in each of us to be loved. All of us have an unrelenting desire to be needed and accepted for who we are by others. However, none of us feels accepted and needed all of the time, and many of us feel a need to cover up the things we do wrong or don’t like about ourselves in order to be loved.
The woman in the Gospel finds in Jesus the unconditional love and acceptance she has been thirsting for all of her life. Her being a Samaritan makes her unacceptable by the Jews, and some bad choices have led to her being shunned by her own people, but in Jesus she finds forgiveness and mercy.
In the Sacrament of Reconciliation we too can find the same love and forgiveness from Jesus that the woman from Samaria felt. We too can confess our sins, change our lives, and with the help of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, receive the forgiveness of Jesus. Hopefully everyone will have an opportunity to experience this wonderful sacrament this year.
Love in Christ Father Kurt Farrell

Welcome: Last week we welcomed a new member into the body of Christ through the sacrament of baptism. August Mark
Schone, son of Darren and Sydney Schone was newly baptized on Saturday, February 25th. The blessing of this eternal soul into our community is a great addition and may he grow to love the Lord.
Our next Fish Fry will be Friday, March 23rd. So be sure to mark your calendars and invite a few friends. This is a wonderful time to build community and enjoy a
