OLV Lenten Alms Project — Helping Moms and Babies

Take an egg from the fence, pray about what works for you, and know the items will be shared between

Catholic Social Services and Options Clinic.

Catholic Social Services uses the donation for its Baby Boutique which is open to all those in need. They are asking specifically for larger diaper sizes 4, 5, and 6.

Options Clinic’s highest priority is new car seats that they offer through their Baby Boutique

to women utilizing their services.

Pope Francis has released his thoughts for Lent and its gifts. “The Word Is a Gift. Other Persons Are a Gift.”

In Lent he invites us to rediscover the gift of God’s word be purified of the sin that blinds us serve Christ present in our brothers and sisters.

Some thoughts in preparation for Lent Am I aware of the gift of God’s word and how do I treasure it? What are the sins that blind me? In what ways am I echoing the age-old evasive question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

Perhaps I need more wonder and awe in the presence of Jesus. He is present to me in his Word, and in the Eucharist. He is present to me now through his Spirit.
