Montana Fair, signed with Show Dog-Universal Music in

2011 and released his debut single “Hunt You Down”

  Montana Fish, Wildlie & Parks honored theservice o its Region 6 Hunter and Bowhunter Education volunteer instructors at the annual workshop heldon Saturday, February 27, at the Cottonwood Inn inGlasgow.  Te workshop is an annual event that invites all the

 volunteer instructors across the region or a day filledwith visiting, updates to the program, demonstrationso new equipment and ideas, and most importantly,honoring years o service.  Receiving awards at this year’s workshop werenumerous instructors with service ranging rom 5 to30 years (please see the list below). All service awardrecipients receive a plaque, with other milestonesreceiving special awards, including: 10 year: engravedknie; 20 year: FWP belt buckle; 30 year: voucher orpurchase o a firearm. Highlighting this year’s awards

was Larry Lett, o Malta, who has been an instructor or30 years.  “As evidenced by the decades o service ourinstructors give to our programs, there’s an incredibleamount o dedication and commitment out there inour communities,” said FWP Region 6 Inormationand Education Program Manager Marc Kloker.“Tese volunteers play a key role in shaping utureMontana hunters by providing training in saety, ethics,conservation, and the proper use o firearms and archeryequipment. Larry Lett, and others like him, works veryhard to pass the state’s rich hunting heritage on to thenext generations. Please be sure to thank your localhunter and bowhunter education instructors when yousee them.”  Also receiving a special award, or the Region6 instructor o the year, was Beau Hyatt o Bainville.Beau, a junior instructor, received his 5-year instructorplaque this year. Beau has been involved, along withhis dad Chuck Hyatt, in instructing eight classes sincehe began. He has taught every aspect o the hunter

education course, and has logged numerous hour oset-up, prep, and clean-up o each class. Beau plansto continue instructing hunter education, as an adultinstructor, as he begins college this all in Havre.  “I have seen Beau’s dedication and commitmentto hunter education firsthand,” says Kloker. “He relateswell to students, demonstrates all aspects o sae andresponsible hunting, and is a very dedicated instructor.He, and other young instructors, is the uture o theprogram.”  In addition to the awards, many door prizes were

also given away. Donations rom Glasgow businessesMarkle’s Ace Hardware, D&G Sports and Westernand Westside Sporting Goods in Malta made almosteveryone a winner. FWP donated several itemsincluding outdoor equipment, a Buck knie, OnyxMap chip, a ramed elk print, and numerous discount vouchers.  FWP is thankul to have hundreds o qualifiedinstructors across the state, and always welcomes newadditions.
