YOUNG CAREERIST - Wenatchee BPW's Young Careerist
candidates will be performing their speeches. The Virginia Allen
Young Careerist Program (YC) was founded in 1964 by BPW
National President, Virginia Allen, in order to recognize the
professional, personal, and political achievements of young
professional women and men. Participants, both BPW and
prospective members, compete to represent Wenatchee BPW on
the Local and State level by delivering a prepared 4-minute
speech, interviewing with judges, and preparing a biographical
statement and application. The Young Careerist Program is about
mentoring and building self-esteem and confidence. It is about
giving recognition and acceptance and the celebration to all
participants.
WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH - Wenatchee BPW will be
continuing our annual tradition of presenting local librarians with a
new literary book.
GET CONNECTED - We will be hosting our 1st Committee Sign
Up Fair! Looking for a new challenge to sink your teeth in to?
Board positions will become available soon. Current Board/Chairs
are free to discuss position requirements, duties, and
expectations. Come see how you can be a part of Wenatchee
BPW and build your connections with wonderful women in the
Wenatchee Valley. Wenatchee BPW needs strong individuals to
help meet the needs of our growing membership - current
committee members will be present to answer questions and talk
about ways you can participate.
Open to all members and interested women. Buy or bring
your own lunch.
Open networking opportunity after the meeting from 1:00pm -
1:30pm. Mix, mingle and make those connections!

Keep us, O God, from pettiness;
Let us be large in thought, in
word, in deed.
Let us be done with fault-finding
and leave off self-seeking.
May we put away all pretense
and meet each other
face to face - without self-pity and
without prejudice.
May we never be hasty in
judgment
and always be generous.
Let us take time for all things;
Make us to grow calm, serene,
gentle.
Teach us to put into action our
better impulses,
Straight-forward and unafraid.
Grant that we may realize it is the
little things
that create differences, that in the
big things
of life we are as one.
And may we strive to touch and
to know the great,
Common human heart of us all,
and
O Lord God, let us forget not to
be kind.
Mary Stewart
The Collect was written by Mary Stewart
in 1904. She had it published as a
Collect for Club Women, because at the
time she believed that women working
together with wide interests and
important goals was a new
phenomenon, and that a special
meditation of their own would give them
a sense of unity. The Collect soon was
adopted among working women
throughout the world.
