Promises.

A promise is something that is easy to say

but hard to keep. There is a saying that

goes, “If you want something, you will

stop at nothing to get what you want.”

The Lord himself has told us and will continue to tell us

that for eternal salvation we have to believe in Him. If

you want eternal salvation, then this must mean that

you will stop at nothing to be with God. You must

devote yourself to Him but, to do so you must know

who you are first. You are a child of God. In everything

that you do, you need to have faith and never give up.

Pray, repent, and believe in the Gospel. We need to

look and love our brothers and sisters as God does for

us all the time. Our intentions must be to see God in all

people. This is essential for the Land of God to grow.

We must see everyone as God. In everything we do,

God is always there. Our Lord promises us good things,

for He is merciful and great. He will never break his

promise to us, even if we break our promises with him

a million times. Remind yourself that God is always

with you. Promise yourself to always have faith.

Promesas.

Una promesa es algo fácil de decir, pero difícil de

mantener. Hay un dicho que dice: "Si quieres algo, no te

detendrás ante nada para obtener lo que deseas".

El Señor mismo nos lo ha dicho y continuará

diciéndonos que para la salvación eterna debemos

creer en Él. Si quieres la salvación eterna, entonces

esto debe significar que no te detendrás ante nada para

estar con Dios. Debes dedicarte a Él, pero, para

hacerlo, debes saber quién eres primero. Eres hijo(a)

de Dios. En todo lo que haces, necesitas tener fe y

nunca rendirte. Ora, arrepiéntete y cree en el

Evangelio. Necesitamos mirar y amar a nuestros

hermanos y hermanas como Dios lo hace por nosotros

todo el tiempo. Nuestras intenciones deben ser ver a

Dios en todas las personas. Esto es esencial para que

la Tierra de Dios crezca. Debemos ver a todos como

Dios. En todo lo que hacemos, Dios siempre está ahí.

Nuestro Señor nos promete cosas buenas, porque Él es

misericordioso y grande. Él nunca romperá su promesa

con nosotros, incluso si rompemos nuestras promesas

con él un millón de veces. Recuérdate a ti mismo que

Dios está siempre contigo. Prométete a ti mismo a

siempre tener fe.

their faithful at St. Mary Cathedral for a special Chrism

Mass. Blessing oils for the year is a

traditional mark of Holy Week.

Fifth Sunday of Lent:

In the Gospel today, Jesus says “Whoever

serves me must follow me, and where I am,

there also will my servant be. The Father will honor

whoever serves me.” When we help the poor, we are

truly followers of Jesus, servant of the poor.

As you place your gift in the Society of St. Vincent de

Paul poor box, know that you are a sign of God’s

love to those who are suffering, and you give them

Easter hope and joy.

Quinto Domingo de Cuaresma:

En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús dice: “El que me sirve

debe seguirme, y donde Yo estoy, ahí también estará mi

siervo. El Padre honrará a quien Me sirva”. Cuando

servimos a los pobres, somos verdaderos seguidores de

Jesús, servidor de los pobres.

Cuando coloque su donación en la caja de los pobres

de la Sociedad de San Vicente de Paul, sepa que

usted es un signo del amor de Dios hacia los que

sufren y usted les da esperanza y alegría en la Pascua.

Stations of the Cross

You are invited to participate in the Stations of the Cross

play which will be held on Good Friday. Anyone is

welcome to participate. We need all the help we can get.

Practice will be held each Sunday in the church

from 3 - 5 pm.

Viacrucis

Están invitados a participar en la obra de la Viacrucis que

se llevará a cabo el Viernes Santo. Todos son bienvenidos

a participar. Necesitamos toda la ayuda que podamos

conseguir. La práctica se llevará a cabo en

la iglesia cada Domingo de 3 - 5 pm.

Easter Lilies

To honor a loved one during Easter purchase a lily

from our church and the name of the person will be

on the lily during Easter. We are asking for a

donation of $12 per lily.

Puede honrar a un ser querido mediante la compra

de lirios de Pascua para nuestra Iglesia. El nombre de

la persona estará en la planta durante toda la Pascua
