Purim is right around thecorner!
If you like your Hamantaschenfilled with rich fruit jam, andmelt-in-your-mouth-tender, thenyou will love the cookies wemake for Purim!
Our Hamantaschen can be filled withtraditional poppy seed filling, or the moremodern fruit fillings such as; apricot, apple,prune, cherry, raspberry or even lemon. Purimis on March 5th, so be sure to give us a callsoon to reserve yours!

We're gearing up for the holiday by making a variety of St.Patrick's Day-inspired sweets and breads, and turning a lot ofthings green!We will be baking: * shamrock sugar cookies * chocolate-dipped shamrock cookies * green, shamrock-shaped, chocolate-covered mini cakes * cupcakes decorated for the holiday * green Irish cream muffins * Irish soda bread * and even Leprechaun cookie critters

Carolyn Tschomakoff, a fixture of the local artscommunity and former owner of Kaleidoscope, isnow making jewelry! Carolyn is using her intimateknowledge of form and design to create a line ofearrings that combine beads with her metalsmithedpieces. Carolyn, through her gift shop,Kaleidoscope, offered Southern Illinois a wonderfulselection of gifts and jewelry for 43 years, and weare so happy to be carrying her work now, in thissame space.
Comic by Craig E. RossCraig E. Ross, an editor at Red Wedge, is a printmakerand cartoonist currently living in Southern Illinois whoworks mainly in woodblock prints. He received a BFA inPrintmaking from Southern Illinois University inCarbondale. Craig has self-published various comicsand zines such as "MEDITATIONS: A Vision InWoodcuts" and the acclaimed "STEAL AWAY: TheVisions of Nat Turner".
