UFV - Health Care Assistant ProgramUnderstanding the options for a quality health care education is one of the first steps to a career in health. One option that is typically overlooked is the Health Care Assistant (HCA) role, a 24-week program that is a gateway to a rewarding career or further opportunities in the field. Completing this program allows individuals to register with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry and start working in the field – with many of their students obtaining employment before graduation. Other graduates can use their experience to enrich their application for highly competitive Nursing (BSN & PN) programs.
Why UFV? For starters, the tuition is affordable (as a public institution their tuition is less than half the cost of privately funded programs). Their state-of-the-art facilities provide students with hands on training. They also have great connections for clinical placements and their graduates are recruited heavily in the Fraser Valley.
They are currently accepting applicants for Fall 2016, however there are a limited number of spaces available. Offers are awarded on a first applied/first accepted basis.
Program details are available on our website here: http://www.ufv.ca/health/health-care-assistant/
