Where is the counselor’s office located?

C113, around the corner from the main office.

What if I need to talk to my counselor?

Stop by the counselor’s office and complete a colored slip and drop it in the blue mustang box. Make sure to provide as much information as you can so that your counselor can assist you. Your counselor will respond within 48 hours. If you need to meet with them urgently, give your colored slip to the counselor’s secretary.

If my counselor wants me to report the office, how will I know?

If your counselor needs to speak with you, a copy of your schedule will be delivered with the words “Report to the counselors’ office” stamped on it.

Do I need a pass to come to counselor’s office?

Yes, you need a pass from your teacher or your counselor.

What should I do if I have a personal emergency?

Personal emergencies include, but are not limited to death of a loved one, feeling depressed, concerns about your safety or the safety of others. If you can, get a pass from your teacher. If you can’t, come straight to the counselor’s office.

WHEN IN DOUBT, ASK A COUNSELOR

What should I do if I’m missing a class period in my schedule?

If you are missing a period in your schedule, report to the counselor’s office during that period only! You will be assigned a class at that time.

I need to change my schedule, what should I do?

Complete a Schedule Change Request Form. It must be signed by a parent/guardian.

Remember: A request is just that, A REQUEST. All requests need to be turned in by Friday,

August 26, 2011. It may take a few days to get a response about your request, so please be patient. Your counselor will let you know if whether or not your request will work with your schedule. All changes will be completed by Friday, September 2, 2011

Note: You can make level changes only until the last week of the 1st six weeks.

If my schedule change request is granted, how will receive my new schedule?

Your new schedule will be delivered to you in class. You do not need to report to the counselor’s office to pick up your new schedule.

I lost my schedule, can I get another one?

Yes, if you lose your schedule, stop by the counselor’s office (before school if possible) to get a new schedule printed. Teachers and staff will not be able to print a schedule for you.

I need a locker, what should I do?

Lockers will be assigned during your lunch period in the cafeteria during the first two weeks of school.

I forgot my locker combination, where can I get it?

You can stop by the counselor’s office before/after school or during lunch to get your locker combination.
