Currently EE student at Università di Cagliari, I'm focusing in hardware and software security, in particular in
Internet of Things field. I volounteer in many organizations where I teach IT to children and to asylum seekers,
and I work on academic projects. Specially, I like collaborating in projects related to people with disabilities.

Il giorno 23 Settembre 2010, nella sede dell’ANP, alla presenza del Ministro on. Mariastella Gelmini e della
Presidente della VII Commissione Cultura della Camera, on. Valentina Aprea, si è svolta la cerimonia di
premiazione dei vincitori del concorso Docente dell’Anno 2009-2010. Per ANP e Microsoft, organizzatori
del concorso, erano presenti il prof. Giorgio Rembado, Presidente nazionale dell'Anp, ed il dott. Pietro Scott
Jovane, Amministratore Delegato di Microsoft Corporation.
In rappresentanza dell'Istituto Giua erano presenti: il Dirigente Scolastico, prof. Gian Paolo Meloni, il prof.
Roberto Manca e lo studente Marco Frau. Il Ministro ha proceduto alla consegna delle targhe e dei premi
ai vincitori del concorso per le varie categorie previste dal regolamento. Alla classe che ha partecipato al
progetto vincitore della sezione Classe Digitale è stata donata una lavagna interattiva multimediale (LIM).

L'Istituto tecnico Giua si è aggiudicato la seconda edizione del concorso nazionale “Classe Digitale
2009/2010 - Docente dell'anno”, bandito dalla Microsoft Italia in collaborazione col ministero dell'Istruzione
e l'Associazione nazionale dei dirigenti e delle alte professionalità della scuola (Anp). Il riconoscimento
è stato conferito giovedì scorso a Roma dal ministro Mariastella Gelmini a dodici studenti della scuola di
via Montecassino e al loro docente di sistemi, telematica e informatica, Roberto Manca. Il concorso era
finalizzato a promuovere l'utilizzo delle nuove tecnologie nell'ambito della didattica scolastica. Gli studenti
del Giua hanno sbaragliato la concorrenza presentando un robot collegato a un computer in grado di giocare
a dama muovendo le pedine con l'ausilio di un braccio meccanico. Il robot utilizza Windows 7, ovvero il

Power systems must provide energy to every appliance connected. Power suppliers must keep power plants
active in case of energy need. This leads to additional costs due to plants that are active but not in use. Also,
power grids may not be able to provide the needed power for every appliance. If we coordinate home and
industrial appliances to switch on when their nominal power is available, it will be easier to reach energy
efficiency, thus leading to environment care and less electricity costs.
We create a scalable system that allows smart grids to time appliances. Appliances working on their nominal
power have better energy efficiency. This can be achieved by developing a device that interconnects different
appliances, and via power grid communicates with power suppliers to determine when their nominal power
is available from the grid. We reduce costs and this doesn’t require any modification to existing appliances.
IEEE 1901 specifies the standard for Broadband over power lines (BPL)
