Dear Mr and Mrs Gorski,
Your son Damian came to Heathcliff two years ago and most of his teachers are very pleased with his work. He is also one of our best swimmers. Last month, thanks to him, our swimming team won the silver medal in a competition with six local schools.
However, he is not doing well in English. This is because English is not his first language and I know he speaks Polish at home. But English is an important subject and, if he wants to pass his exams next year and go to university, he must do better — and I think he can. One of our English teachers gives private lessons in the evenings. If you are interested, please let me know and I’ll ask him to contact you.
Best regards,Helena Richardson, Head Teacher, Heathcliff Secondary School

Me as Carrie. See me soon in
“Inspector Harding” on BBC1.
Jessica Malone added 1 new photo Sunday, March 20 We finished filming this afternoon and tomorrow it’s back to school! This weekend has been like a dream. I was nervous at first because it was all new to me, but everyone was really helpful. I played Carrie, a girl the same age as me whose parents are looking for her because she ran away from home. It was only a small part but it was great. It was easy to play her because she’s a bit crazy like me, but you won’t recognise me because of the hair and the make-up! Anyway, a big thank you to Mr Chasen, our drama teacher at school. His brother produces “Inspector Harding” and he saw me in our last school play. After the show, he asked me to go and see him the next day for an audition. The rest is history!
