PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of this portfolio is to show my skills, accomplishments and

achievements in the areas of visual communications and marketing/corporate

communications.

INTRODUCTION

I have worked hard to develop my design skills through focused job experience, educational choices and

training. My design samples here reflect this discipline and integrate my Graphic Design background and

experience. An innovative thinker who is curious, energetic and loves to learn. I am enthusiastic about

serving in a vital role on a creative team for a design-focused firm.

I have extensive experience and enjoy working on precise, detailed projects. In addition, I possess over 4

years of professional experience in proofreading, editing, copywriting, and desktop publishing programs. I

have the ability to use desktop publishing for most media functions as well (i.e. print, e-newsletter, and web

maintenance). I have strong graphic design skills with demonstrated proficiency in Quark, InDesign CS4,

Photoshop CS4, Illustrator CS4, as well as, Microsoft Office 2007. I am highly organized and adept at

meeting tight deadlines that are so common in this industry.

I will bring any position strong graphic design, marketing communications, assertiveness, and the ability to

collaborate with others in order to work as a team to create high quality marketing materials for you. My

Associates degree in Commercial Art and a Bachelors of Art degree in Visual Communications have

prepared me well with over 10 years experience in order to present these assets. I also have a Master of

Science degree in Management and pursuing a MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.

THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC

The following samples were done for Thermo Scientific, a

division of Thermo Fisher, Inc. I played a major part in creating

a new design for posters, book covers, product packaging,

labels and package inserts for their major re-branding initiative.

The brand is Seradyn, which re-branded to Thermo Scientific.
