This course covers all important aspects of marine insurance, ranging from terms and conditions to the practical handling of claims and loss prevention. The Swedish Club is an all-in-one insurer well equipped to address all of the various insurance covers as required by shipowners. The lecturers are employees of the Club contributing with their professional expertise and experience gained from their daily work. The focus is on the most common types of insurance, i.e. Protection & Indemnity, Hull & Machinery and Freight Demurrage & Defence. Furthermore, the course provides a rare opportunity for participants from different parts of the world to meet in an informal environment and share views and experiences. The participants will also have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Club staff and establish a useful network.
