How to assemble

Face

Starting with the face sew the eyes on either side of the magic circle as shown in the

picture

Next stuff the nose and sew it on just below the eyes

Then with the straight edge of the moustache sew it in a u shape under the nose

(optional)For the eyebrows using black sew two curves above the eyes using chain stitch.

Page 10: Mario s Frog Suit.pdf4

push the needle through just above the eye

wrap the wool around the point of the needle, so will come through a loop of wool

pull the needle through the fabric and the loop, then gently pull the wool through

next stuff the head, then place the face inside and sew it in about two rounds in from the

open edge, make sure your stitches are not visible on the outside

Sew up most of the face then check to see if the head needs more stuffing before closing

up the hole

Frog eyes

Next sew the whites of the frogs eyes onto the green parts of the eyes

Lightly stuff the eyes and flatten them into an oval shape

Then sew them onto the top of the head 7 rounds away from the open edge and 3 stitches

apart

Page 11: Mario s Frog Suit.pdf4

Next sew the head onto the body as shown in the picture, give him quite a thick neck

Feet and legs

Next lightly stuff the feet then sew up the open edge making sure the shaping matches on

both sides

Next pinch the end toes flat

Then push them up towards the middle toe and sew them in place by passing the needle

through all three toes

Page 12: Mario s Frog Suit.pdf4

Next sew the open edge of the leg onto the foot

Then bend the leg in half and sew a couple of stitches to hold it in place

Sew all of the inner side of the leg to the side of the body

Hands

sew the thumb onto the side of the hand

Then sew the fingers on in order into the open edge of the hand closing the gap with

each finger

Then repeat for the second hand

Page 13: Mario s Frog Suit.pdf4

Flatten the hands and bend the arm up to create a palm that lies flat

Next sew about 4cms of the top of the arm on both sides to the body making sure the

hands are facing the right way and the hands touch the ground to support the body
