Yahoo! Fantasy Football 2008 and 2009

• Problem: AT&T and Yahoo! wanted to draw more users into the interactive aspects of

their U-verse TV service, and make it stand out from other TV services that offered

interactive applications. • Solution: Yahoo! leveraged the fantasy football application and created a new custom

application to enable U-verse users to see their matchups, team standings, and related

sports news from their U-verse set top boxes.

• Result: The application was released to widespread positive feedback by both end-users and the press. The application quadrupled the use of the U-verse interactive features

during its runs in 2008 and 2009.

AT&T|Yahoo! Portal – “Aspen” Mobile Content Convergence

Problem: AT&T needed to better utilize their new Yahoo-branded portal pages and offer added value for their mobile customers in a highly-competitive wireless marketplace.

Solution: One of the most visible “convergence” projects for AT&T and Yahoo! for 2009 was the

project code named “Aspen” which allowed AT&T/Yahoo! users to log into their My Yahoo portal and select content to view on their mobile phones.

Result: The “Aspen” functionality has been heavily promoted by AT&T and is responsible for convincing a lot of cell phone users to try using their phones for advanced content.

The Home Depot: Ecommerce, PR, and Installation Services Extranet

Problem: The Home Depot needed to update their commerce site because users found it

confusing to navigate frustrating to shop because it only offered about 25% of the products available in the stores.

Solution: HomeDepot.com redesign project included a new taxonomy, a complete

merchandising strategy, a new graphical user interface, and a new purchase path optimized for quick shopping. The Corporate Communications site also received a complete overhaul, and I led

the creation of a new Installation Services extranet for THD installation customers to get timely information and site preparation tips.

Merial Intranet

Problem: Merial Pharmaceuticals needed a robust intranet site that provided easy-to-use

content management functionality and a pleasing user interface. They also needed the site available quickly so their employees could better organize and share their information among

departments and international office locations.

Solution: Using Tibco PortalBuilder and Documentum eRoom, a site was created to provide a consistent and logical interface with a content management tool that allows non-technical

employees to easily update the site content.

Verizon Wireless

Problem: Verizon needed online channels for marketing and selling directly to the mobile industry’s biggest customers: youth.

Solution: Verizon built numerous sites to market and sell their service plans, special services and phones. Among the sites I worked on include vzwshop.com, the secure online shopping

destination; Get It Now, the consumer-focused line of specialized services and phones; and

Freeup, the youth market Web site.

which won numerous awards.
