Mark Millionaire:A Murder Investigation

Long ago on a winter’s night in an enormous gloomy mansion, everyone was sitting at a party having fun when suddenly the lights went off. Nearly five minutes went by before the lights came back on. While the host was conducting a count of each individual, he discovered that one person was missing, the owner of the house, Mark Millionaire.

Introduction

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, who discovered that Mark was actually murdered, was immediately called to question the guests. They concluded that six people were the major suspects. Mary Jo, Albert, George, Cascade, Scarlet, and Benjamin were all suspects.

Albert was the most sought after football player in the world but he was aging and not very gracefully. He was a sports announcer who relied on his good looks and personality but his good looks wouldn’t last forever.

ALBERT

Cascade lived in the shadow of her childhood fame and constantly reminds others of her success. She is quick to tell others “My day will come, one way or the other”. Cascade is George’s sister. Cascade is Mark’s ex-wife.

Cascade

Mary Jo comes from a wealthy family of politicians. She’s known to raise money for many causes as long as she can be seen in the spotlight. She appears calm and collected at times but is very controlling and concerned with proper behavior.

George is a self-employed billionaire that moved out of the urban neighborhood to the life of luxury. His new friends only love him for his money but he enjoys the attention that he receives. George’s sister is Cascade.

George

Benjamin was a businessman but nobody knew exactly what his occupation consisted of. He had a lot of money, but his fortune was slowly dwindling down. Rumors had it that he was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Benjamin

Scarlet was the center of every major event in the city. She was in movies, videos, and whatever else that you could have imagined. She was the “star of all stars”. She never wanted to settle down with anyone.

At the end of the mystery, you will put all the clues together to determine these answers.

Mark showed no signs of foul play. Mark’s body was found in the guest house

but you could tell that the body had been moved.

Scarlet was in the kitchen with Mark three hours before the murder.

Why was Scarlet with Mark? Mark and Cascade are divorced.

Clues

Mary Jo was mad with Cascade for taking money from her and not repaying her. Had Mary Jo forgiven her?

Mark and Benjamin had business dealings. Scarlet and Albert are married. George and Albert are siblings.

Rumor has it! (Only two of these rumors are true!)

Holmes found poison in Cascade’s possession. Cascade appeared surprised.

Scarlet’s fingerprints were on the knife that she was holding when she was with Mark earlier.

Cascade’s keys were found next to Mark’s body.

George’s fingerprints were found on a pillow in the bedroom.

During the investigation

Mary Jo was an ex-chemist. Benjamin called Mark the day before the

party begging him for money. Albert was acting strange the entire night of

the party.

Clues

Albert was in the bathroom when the lights went off. He has a rare form of cancer that’s causing him to age.

Mark was telling Scarlet that he was going to marry Cascade again because they realized the divorce was a mistake.

Cascade found out that Mark was two-timing her again.

The Real Story Unfolds

Scarlet informed her best friend, Mary Jo, that Mark and Cascade were reconciling.

George was with Albert 30 minutes before the discovery of Mark’s body so this eliminated both of them.

At the time that Mark was killed, it was around dinner time and everyone was in the dining room and kitchen.

Mary Jo was mad with Cascade for taking money from her and not repaying her. Mary Jo didn’t play when it came to money.

Mark and Benjamin had business dealings because Benjamin had borrowed money from Mark. Benjamin was having problems paying back the money.

Scarlet and Mary Jo were best friends who hated Cascade since high school. Mary Jo was still mad about her money and the fact that Cascade and Mark was getting back together made it worst. Mary Jo secretly had a crush on Mark that no one knew about, not even Scarlet. Mary Jo knew that she could never be with Mark because Mark was her half-brother so Mary Jo wanted Mark with Scarlet.

What Really Happened?

Mary Jo and Scarlet planned to set up Cascade which is why most of the evidence points to Cascade. The only reason George’s prints were on the pillow was because he used it to help Albert lie down.Mary Jo and Scarlet were with Mark in the living room when he disappeared because no one was in there at the time. (They lured him there.)
