He studied composition and performance with instrumental lessons at the Royal Northern College of Music. Robbie Gibson Drums / Percussion Robbie studied timpani and percussion at the Royal Academy of Music and has since worked with some of Britain’s leading orchestras. They include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom Robbie toured the USA playing drum kit and percussion, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, where he has played timpani and percussion on many occasions. He toured the UK with Round the Horne…Revisited and played drum kit for Sweet Charity at the Royal Academy of Music. Alongside playing percussion for the Shuffle Collective, Robbie has just returned from a successful festival season with the 11-piece soul/reggae band Sashi and the Wild Beans, who performed at several festivals across the UK including Glastonbury.
