Electronic dance music and DJs

• DJ Mag – monthly magazine dedicated to Electronic dance music and DJs. Launched: 31st January 1991 published by DJ Mag.com Ltd. DJ Mag’s colour scheme for it’s logo changes between red with a black outline or white with a black outline

• Mixmag is a British electronic dance and clubbing magazine, published in London, England. Launched: 1982 (first issue published 1 February 1983) published by DMC Publishing

Rock • Q Magazine - The magazine has an extensive review section, featuring: new

releases (music), reissues (music), music compilations, film and live concert reviews, as well as radio and television reviews. Launched: October 1986. Sister magazine = Mojo. Owned by Bauer. In the early years, the magazine was sub-titled "The modern guide to music and more".

• Kerrang! - UK-based magazine devoted to rock music published by: Bauer Media Group. Launched: 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the Sounds newspaper.

• NME - punk rock magazine, The New Musical Express, popularly known by the initialism NME, is a music publication in the United Kingdom, published weekly since March 1952. It started as a music newspaper, and gradually moved toward a magazine format during the 1980s, changing from newsprint in 1998. It was the first British paper to include a singles chart, in the 14 November 1952 edition.

Pop• Most of the pop magazines available in the UK have an audience of mostly

young girls.

• Top of the Pops - monthly publication published by BBC Magazines. It features chart information, star gossip, fashion and beauty advice, quizzes, song lyrics and posters. It is a supplementary magazine for the TV show Top of the Pops. Launched: February 1995

• We Love Pop – published by Egmont Publishing Group. The magazine includes music, fashion, celebrities and gossip.

• Egmont Publishing Group produce magazines for young people starting from under 7’s to teenagers.
