A natural antioxidantA novelty of a natural antioxidant for
cosmetic formulations and fragrances
metic raw materials in cooperation
with Dr. Hauck.
The family business was founded 14
years ago and has been continued by
Fabian Breisinger since 2011.
StoppOx® is a world novel nat-
ural antioxidant blend for cos-
metic formulas and fragranc-
es. It delivers high performance like
synthetic AO especially in preventing
formation of possible fragrance al-
lergens by oxidation. Irritants made
by formation of peroxides from lipid
and fragrance compounds are inhib-
ited as well and BBD is considera-
bly. The antioxidant blend also con-
tributes to olfactory stability and UV
light protection of the product and its
active ingredients.
Existing natural antioxidants do not
perform similar to synthetic alterna-
tives like BHT. The novel natural
blend StoppOx® provides even better
performance in product protection
than BHT and most of the other syn-
thetic or natural AO. Especially the

prevention of formation of possible
fragrance allergens by oxidation and
obstruction of irritants from lipid
and fragrance peroxides is demon-
strated by ongoing studies.
The major benefit for manufacturers
and end users is the increased BBD.
More oxidative stability of perfume,
oils and actives leads to a longer
shelf life and much safer product.
While the performance is similar to
BHT the product is ecofriendly, sus-
tainable and completely natural.

Bamboo: SENSOCEL® bc 20Natural solution for an ultra soft skin feel
and the ultimate silicone touch
Natural cosmetics are still gain-
ing high importance. Globally
formulators are seeking for
natural alternatives to synthetic in-
gredients. However it is desired that
natural ingredients convince by the
same or very similar properties and
functionalities. The replacement of
silicones is only one of the many
challenges formulators are facing.
One natural ingredient that can com-
pete with such challenges is SENSO-
CEL® bc 20 from CFF.
Silicones provide an ultra soft,
smooth touch and prevent from
stickiness, greasiness or oiliness.
However, while the film-building
characteristics of silicones keep the
skin from breathing SENSOCEL® bc
20 creates a highly smooth and soft
sensory effect on a natural basis.
geneous textures. The highly pure
bamboo powder belongs to CFF`s
eco-friendly and bio-degradable
range of SENSOCEL® powders, fibres
& scrubs and is certified by COS-
MOS/ECOCERT.
SENSOCEL® bc 20 is a 100% plant
based powder from bamboo cellu-
lose and has multiple positive influ-
ence on the skin feel and texture of
skin care products. Rich W/O emul-
sions often appear with an undesired
stickiness, oiliness and slow skin ab-
sorption. The ultra fine bamboo
powder SENSOCEL® bc 20 has an ex-
cellent capacity to absorb oil & water
for a strong and quick matte effect. It
considerably reduces the stickiness
of emulsions. By using SENSOCEL®
bc 20 a heavy W/O will be turned
into a soft, non greasy and non tacky,
ultra light emulsion that will be ab-
sorbed quickly. Depending on the de-
sired texture and absorption the dos-
age of SENSOCEL® bc 20 varies
between 0.5 und 2.5 %. It improves
the sensory effects of emulsions or
gels and creates harmonic and homo-

Emulsiphos®WHEN MILDNESS MATTERS –
Bioinspired by natural skin lipids
Discover Emulsiphos® – a PEG
free anionic O/W emulsifier
particularly suitable for sen-
sitive skin attested by a clinical skin
tolerability study.
The molecular structure of Emul-
siphos® promotes the ability to form
lamellar liquid crystals similar to
skin lipids.
By their nature, the liquid crystalline
structures of such emulsions do not
disrupt the skin lipid barrier and help
the skin to maintain its natural mois-
ture content.
A clinical study shows, that Emul-
siphos® is well tolerated in emulsion
formulations by sensitive skin.

– Amelioration of the flow proper-
ties of powder products
– Longer durability, better storage
stability
– Better handling of volatile or irri-
tating substances (essential oils,
aromatic substances, etc.)
– Reduction of hygroscopicity
– Avoiding of undesirable reactions
with other substances/compo-
nents
– Controlled release of the active
substances
– Possible additional effects, as e.g.
peeling effect
– Etc.
The exciting thing is, that the fields
of application of the customized
spray products are not limited to
specific industries. The customers of
ERBO Spraytec AG are located in the
food, feed or cosmetic sector, in
chemistry or in the technical indus-
try. The range of services of ERBO
Spraytec AG is completed with the
quality control in the laboratory in-
house, organisation of the logistics
and a wide range of packaging solu-
tions. If you are facing as well a
problem or an idea but you lack the
expertise and/or the technology for
a production in large scale, the spray
technology experts of ERBO Spraytec
AG love to be at your disposal.
However, the handling of nat-
ural raw materials is often a
particular challenge: For cer-
tain applications, pure extracts or es-
sential oils have a too high concentra-
tion, insufficient dosing properties,
limited shelf life, volatilize too fast,
irritate the skin, mucosa and eyes or
react in a undesirable way with other
substances or components. Conven-
tional powder products show bad
flow properties, insufficient dosing
properties, are hygroscopic or have
an insufficient solubility.
It is precisely these kind of problems
that the Swiss spray technology
company ERBO Spraytec AG takes
care about. In close collaboration
with the customers there are elabo-
rated individual solutions for their
problems, developed new processes
and finally manufactured their prod-
ucts in large size.The manufacturing
of innovative and high-quality spray
products requires a lot of experi-
ence, both with regard to the plant
technology, and to the properties of
the used raw materials.
By a clever combination of the pro-
cesses (e.g. “onion shell granula-
tion”, single or multiple layer coat-
ing, matrix encapsulation) with the
encapsulation or carrier substances
the required product properties can
be adjusted and the handling and
processing properties of the end
product can considerable be im-
proved.
These innovative spray products pro-
vide numerous advantages:
– Excellent dosing properties
Exceptional "packaging"
for active ingredients
from nature
Natural cosmetics, plant extracts, essential oils or natu-
ral raw materials – the trend towards more nature runs
like a red thread from cosmetics, to the food and feed
industry, or washing and cleaning agents.
