Republic National Distributing Company

• Republic National Distributing Company announced they will build a 200,000-plus-square-foot facility in Ashland.

• The company mainly distributes wine and sells approximately 36 million bottles a year.

Hyosung Cord

• GFA Inc., the vendor awarded the contract for Hyosung Cord, has leased space in Port Norfolk Commodity Warehouse.

• Hyosung will be importing approximately 150-200 containers of steel per month. This cargo was previously handled through the Port of Savannah.

Lead Global Group

• Lead Global Group has selected Container Port Group in Norfolk to handle export palletized recycled batteries from the VA/KY/TN/OH/NE Market. Volume TBD.

Canon Virginia, Inc.

• Canon recently announced they will invest $27 million to expand their facility in Newport News.

• The expansion will add the manufacturing of toner for Canon copiers in 30,000 square feet.

PRUFREX Innovative Power Products

• PRUFREX Innovative Power Products will invest $7.33 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in the City of Virginia Beach.

• The company will supply ignition components for U.S. customers, including nearby BMZ Batteries and STIHL Inc.

• Virginia successfully competed against Georgia for the project, which will create 60 new jobs. PRUFREX USA Inc. will also be establishing its U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach.

Atomized Products Group, Inc.

• Atomized Products Group, Inc. (APG), a global provider in the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of metal powders and TEXEX® brand battery expanders, will invest $4.3 million to establish an operation in the City of Chesapeake.

• APG will create 26 new jobs.

Cosentino

• Cosentino, one of the world’s largest quartz and granite counter top producers, will locate in Hampton.

• The company will occupy 161,000 square feet at the Enterchange facility. This location will serve as the company’s eastern import logistic center.
