Welcome members and guests to the autumn edition of Maroochy RSL’s What’s On magazine for 2015. There is a lot going on this autumn with Easter time always being busy.

We have changed our birthday draws in 2015 with a $250 birthday draw on four Fridays of every month. The prize will jackpot if no winner is found. There is a guaranteed $1,000 to be given away in your birthday month but you have to be present to win.

Easter will soon be upon us and there will be lots to do for the whole family in April with our always popular Family Show featuring Jungle George on Wednesday 8 April 2015, don’t forget it’s Kids Eat free with every paying adult too.

Along with our regular Major Draw in April we are also giving Maroochy RSL members a chance to win a Toyota Yaris. Entries open 1 March 2015 with the draw taking place on Wednesday 22 April at 7.30pm (further details on page 27).

We will also be commemorating the centenary year of the ANZAC’s landing with our dawn service at the Cotton Tree Cenotaph and the main march along Memorial Avenue to the Cotton Tree Cenotaph. League members, ex-service and current service personnel can pre purchase tickets from Maroochy RSL and RSL House from Monday 23 March 2015 (further details on page 21).

Every mum deserves to be spoilt so why not treat her to a buffet breakfast at Elevations on Mother’s Day, Sunday 10 May 2015. Bookings are highly recommended and can be made with our reception team. (for more details see page 26)

HoPgood WWI CommemoratIve Cook Book LaunCHFormer MKR contestant David Hopgood and his wife Cath are touring Australia raising money for Soldier On by selling their newly released WWI Commemorative Cook Book.

Maroochy RSL was lucky enough to be part of the tour and had Cath and David release their book on the Sunshine Coast at the venue on 5 December 2014. Many lucky patrons bought themselves a book and had it personally signed with proceeds from book sales going straight to Soldier On.

Soldier On supports men and women who have been physically or psychologically wounded while serving their country, and their families. If you would like more information on Cath and David Hopgood’s tour or would like to purchase one of their cook books just visit www.cookwithlove.com.au
