WHAT IS IT?Refers to the massive repository of information and online content that search engines and directories don’t have access to.

HOW BIG IS IT?

It is estimated to be 500 times bigger than the searchable Web, given that Google covers 8 billions pages.

WHY IS IT INVISIBLE?Technical barriers as put up by its sit owners allow its pages to be exuded from search engine spiders. Proxy servers, encryption, other security measures guard these websites.

WHAT CAN IT PROVIDE?

It provides information and resources that you cannot typically get from usual search engines. It also contains a lot of secured information.

and criminals will continue to see the advantages of utilizing the internet and world wide web and continue to promote and sell illegal products and services.

(2) The dark net will continue to grow as long as buyers and sellers are allowed to interact through what are considered illegal websites.

(3) As for the invisible net that is considered “legal”, these websites will continue to legally exist through the strong value proposition it provides its consumers.

IMPLICATIONS TO E-COMMERCE4) Websites who have captured the interest and engagement of

a certain market will continue to capitalize on its target consumers and position itself to profit in a world of anonymous commerce and communication.

5) In the long-term, e-commerce websites will provide stricter measures of privacy for its users and customers. This will cause more anonymity with profiles, payments, services, and product deliveries.
