MATERIALISM

We need to make sure that we are showing our target audience that our clothes are good quality and that you will look good in them. We could apply the uses and gratifications theory which suggests our audience is active and choosing to take personal identity from the clothes and ads. On the other hand a Marx would argue that we are being injected with a fetishism which will focus all of our attention on material worth to distract from out real state of oppression and the true needs of creativity. (this is from Adornos theory)

WHAT DO OUR AUDIENCE WANT?Our audience want to be educated on the new fashion items coming from our brand Ellie-may. They will then use our adverts to socially interact with others about the up coming trend, but they will still then also interact to distract them from their daily troubles which they see on the media, so we will show them something which they will want to see which is new fashion.

The class which controls the state , they then control the distribution of ideology which controls the multitude. We associate progress with looking good and think we are getting a good deal by buying the clothes from our brand. However; we keep feeding back into positions which oppress certain groups e.g. the factory workers who make the clothes. This method which works by us not identifying we are being oppressed.
