In a little forest there was 3 deer. Their names were Jim, Scott, and John. Jim was the oldest of the group and he lived on edge of the forest. Scott was 2nd oldest of the group and he lived further in the forest. John the youngest of them all lived in the deepest part of the forest. Even though John had the safest home to play at because no humans went in that far, they decided to play at Jim’s sense there was a big field with tall grass. The tall grass hid them from the few hunters came. But one day the humans came and put a trailer on the opposite side of the field that the deer played in. The deer were curious to see what the humans were doing and they started walking to the trailer.

“This is going to be a big building” That’s what they heard when they got as close as they could get without getting heard or seen. Jim soon told Scott and John that they should get back to the forest. Scott and John agreed and they started heading back. When they got back to the forest Jim said “If they come back tomorrow were going to tell everybody”. John was more curios than scared and he asked what would

happen but know one answered. The next day the deer came back and they couldn't believe what they saw. The humans had cars, trucks and a lot more at the construction sight. They were digging up the ground that the deer played in the day before. There was big holes in the ground and the people were putting bricks around the big spaces. Jim was the first to say ‘ We have to tell everybody before it’s to late’.

Everyone was in a big commotion when they heard the news. They soon had a town meeting and

they agreed that the humans were going to knock down most of the forest. They also agreed that they should move to a different forest the next day. After this many deer went to the edge of the forest to see

the construction. Jim suddenly said “I'm hungry” and he left to go find something to eat. John soon left to for some food to. So Scott was the only one left. Their was nothing to do so he walked home. He went to sleep that night wondering where he would be the next day. They started making their way out of the forest early in the morning because no humans had come out yet. They stopped to eat when they were half way there. They could see their new home in the distance soon after that. When they got there they were questioned but, the animals living there excepted them. Jim, Scott, and John met again and soon found another place to play. Even though they agreed it wasn't as fun ducking in and out of trees as it was hiding in the tall grass but they still had fun. The only thing that the deer could see of their old home was smoke in the sky.

Always follow the golden rule. One cold winter day a rich man named Mr. Money saw a hobo named Michelangelo on the streets. Michelangelo saw Mr. Money and called out…. ”Hey Mr. Money Man, ya you, can I have some money for charity?” but Mr. Money just laughed. After that exact moment a lady named La Fonda walked up to Michelangelo and Mr. Money. “Here is all the money I have in my purse.” Said La-Fonda. “Why thank you purty lady La Fonda but I cannot take money from a lady like you”. “Ok well have a nice day, Hey what is that Michelan-gelo?” “I think it’s err a rabbit”. Whispered Michelangelo. “I am Ella the Lucky Rabbit I was the only “right” Rabbit in Illinois, LaFonda and Michelangelo did the right thing so they get something in return” yelped Ella.

2 months later “Howdy Mr. Moneyman” a familiar voice made by that time Mr. Money turned to talked and said……

“First of all it is Mr. Money not Mr. Moneyman and Sec-ond of all why are you at my work with fancy clothes and with La Fonda?” “La Fonda here is my wife and I am your boss and I have to say you have not been treating me well lately.” “You are exactly correct Michelangelo Mr. Money you should apologize.”

1 hour later “I’m so sorry Michelangelo for being mean I will give you half of the money I have which is 2 million but I need the other 2 million to buy things I need like food and things like that. Please forgive me Michelan-gelo!” cried Mr. Money. “Mr. Money you know I forgive you but always and I mean always remember the Golden rule though ok be-cause Ella me nor La Fonda will be here” After Michelan-gelo said that Mr. Money just had to say…. “What do you mean by that Michelangelo?” “You did not notice Mr. Money? Ella, me and La-Fonda are sprits we never really excited” said Michelan-gelo

2 years after that “Can I have some money for charity Mr. Money?” said a hobo on the streets “Why of course you can here is 100 dollars” (Mr. Money gave the hobo the money.). Guess who appeared????

Ella the lucky rabbit La Fonda the wife/giver

Creation time was near and Earth needed something more. Without a greater power, they would all drop on the floor. A Sun and Moon came in a blazing, glorious coat. The angels soon got into fights about how they should vote. King God said that they were to be tried at a later date. The Sun and Moon both told him that he’d better not be late. Sun was to be the very first one up. He gave the Earth a blast of heat and dried up all their cups. They cried “Please stop or we will dry just like the dust or sand!” The future with the Sun was looking barren for all the land. The Moon was up and hopefully his trial would be better, But all that the Moon did was make the world a whole lot wetter The Earth was acting like a bowl that was

overflowing. The whole of Moons failure was obviously showing. So King God put the power of the whole Earth on

hold. Bright Sun and mysterious Moon were not feeling so

bold. The Sun and Moon got into fights with words and

they all saw. Earth must be created by tomorrow said the law. So the King God powered up his Ultra Power Helm. The Earth without the humans was not a greening

realm. But before humans could

arrive on Earth, King God had to test.

Who would watch the world, Sun or Moon, which one is best?

Moon said “maybe Sun and I could work together too!”

Sun said “We can make Earth sprout with life that is ex-otic and new!”

So Sun watched over all day long

as the greater light. Moon acted as the lesser and they

promised not to fight. Sun and Moon spent 1 day to get

together and play. 1 night, a day and night except it

doesn’t have the day. That is the story of crea-

tion and our systems birth. Of the eclipse, Sun and Moon, and,

of course, our greening Earth.

A rainy day in January, a dog had teen but 3 died, she keep one and gave the oth-ers dog away. She gave one to her friend Daniela for her B – day. Daniela names her dog Kali was a schnauzer. Kali was first black then she turn brown and gray. Daniela’s new dog was special to her. Daniela’s family has 5 schnauzers dog they were all friends. The other schnauzers thought Kali was weird. So they didn’t play with her. They left her out of fun games. Kali felt lonely because she didn’t have any friends. Kali was the smallest dog of the other 5. The other dogs were mean to her, they ate her food, they left her out of everything they did. The other schnauzers were mean. You didn’t know that Kali was very friendly. One day the schnauzers got mad at each other. Kali wanted to help them to be friends again but the schnauzers didn’t want Kali to help. Two of the schnauzers Daisy and Mimi wanted to be friends with Kali. Later they became friends with Kali. Mary and Angel saw how much fun Daisy, Mimi and Kali were having, they wanted to be friends too. They were all friends they play and play. They all told Lily what she was missing. Lily wanted to fit in. She said “I am so sorry. Can’t we be friends with you” Lily said “yes I wanted all of us to be friends together” “Let’s play ball together ” they all said.

“I like this goat.” “That will be 103 dollars.” “Why so expensive.” “Because it’s the only one left.” “Common get on the truck.” Were home John go ahead and make some friends.” “Hi John.” Said the horse.”How long have you been in the pound?” “About 3 years.” “Every time someone goes in the pound they go look at the cows instead of me.” “I mean I don’t get it.” “I don’t like the farmer.” “Hey hold up there John what do you mean you don’t like the farmer.” “He’s the nicest farmer in the world all he gives us to eat is vegetables.” “What I meant is that he’s old what if he dies who’s going to give us food.” “John I need you over here.” Said the farmer.”I need to milk you.” “Wait there.” Said John. “Why do you need to milk me?” “Because I need milk for my family John.”“Now sit still or I’ll have to tie you down.” “Fine but just know I don’t have a lot of milk because you don’t give me a lot of food.” “I’ll give you more food when I have money right now I don’t have money.” “John.” Said the horse. “Do you know what state we’re in?” “Yes I know we’re in Idaho.” “Wrong we’re in southern California the hottest place in the west.” “Cows don’t live where it’s, to hot, to dry and to steep.” “You know John you talk too much and I’m going to leave.” “Fine I didn’t like you anyways.” “I have an idea I’ll start misbehaving.” “Look at that goat.” Said the farmer. “it’s crashing into food’ running over chickens and it’s heading for the horse next.” “John don’t do that.” “That goat just broke the horse’s leg.” “I think the goat is sick or something.” “John just take deep breaths.” “I’m angry okay farmer no one wants to be my friend.” “It doesn’t matter maybe if you start talking less and start behaving you could get friends.” “I feel better now farmer thank you for the talk.” “Hey Horse I’m sorry that I broke your legs.” “That’s okay that always happens to me.” “Hey pig come over here.” “Yeah what do you want?” “Ouch what was that for.” “Take that.” “Look at John again.” Said the farmer. “He’s beating up other animals.” “If he does something dumb again I’m go-ing to talk to him.” “Hey John.” Said pig.”There’s a pile of garbage over there I heard that if goats eat garbage they get really strong. “Are you sure about that?” “Positive now go over I’ll give you 5 dollars.” “Alright but if I get sick I’ll beat you up.” “Look at the goat again.” Said the farmer.”First he starts misbehaving, then he starts beating up animals and now this” “I’m going to talk to him.” “This garbage taste horrible.” “John.” Said the farmer.” “I think I’m going to sell you so you don’t hurt any farm animals.” “You can’t do that.’

The animals forgave them. The animals decided to tell them never to do that again. And the waterfall and the rock thought that , that was a great idea.

Living on a mountain was cold and very lively. People walk past and hear giggling and splashing, but never see anything. All peo-ple see is rocks and a waterfall. They don’t know they play an important part in this story. I learned that there’s no turning back when you’re on a mountain and you hear a suspi-cious sound. “Now, listen carefully this is where sounds are not native here. Like laughing and splash-ing for no reason at all,” said the Park Director. I didn’t believe one word that Park Director said, until I heard sounds. That’s where another story comes in. “I am the flowing wa-terfall that no one suspects is chuckling or splashing,” said the waterfall. “I am the rock that sits by the falls that is going along with the waterfall, that everyone thinks is the children playing in the stream,” said the rock. Hearing the sounds of things I have never heard before. It made me think about the peo-ple around me. I looked around

me and on the people faces was the scared look of people who had just seen ghosts. I knew the people could not see me, be-cause they don’t know what I am, or that I am here. I am the animals that live in these woods. I have never heard these sounds even though I have been here much longer than you, the person that is reading this. I have never heard this sound. “We splash and laugh all day while tourists stop and stare in amazement at nothing. They think we are not the ones not going about our regular way.” “When we aren’t. We are the ones making the sounds.” “I guess we should tell the animals about what we are doing,” said the waterfall. “Are you sure,” the rock exclaimed. “Yes,” said the water-fall. “Okay,” an-swered the rock. The waterfall called the animals. Then, the rock told the animals what they had been do-ing.

“Yes it’s finally time for me to

be picked,” said a Peach. When the famer was taking the

peaches to his truck a peach fell to the ground. But the peach wasn’t going to just sit there; he was going to Wal-Mart. When he was traveling he came across an orange.

“Hello,” said the orange being polite

“Ugh,” said the peach trying to ignore him

“Wonderful Georgia we’re hav-ing. Okay, I was dropped out of the bas-ket and I’m trying to get to Wal-Mart,” said the orange.

“Me too,” said the peach After a little bit of talking the

orange and peach found out they had a lot of similarities like they’re delicious, they’re fruit and they come from trees. They then became friends.

“Would it be okay if I called you Peaches O’Callahan?” asked orange

“Why not? Now that we’re friends and all.”

After a while a big puddle came up and Peaches knew that if he got too wet that he would go bad.

“I…I can’t do it I’ll go bad,”

stammered Peaches “I’ll help you. Just jump on my

back,” offered orange. After a long time of trudging

through the puddle they were on the other side of the puddle and at the Wal-mart park-ing lot

“We made it! We made it! But I couldn’t have done it without you.” said Peaches. “Don’t start celebrating yet. That’s a long trip.” Said orange

“That boy looks nice, and looks at that cool bike. Oh no, run! Okay I think it’s safe under that SUV,” said Peaches trying to catch his breath

RRRRRMMMMMM!!!!!!!! “Orange, what did you eat?” asked Peaches

“That wasn’t me,” said orange “Why is the sky black and mov-

ing?”asked Peaches “Ow! That round thing ran over my stem,”

“Well, it’s gone now, let’s go,” said orange “I don’t think he can see us over all of those carts,” warned Peaches”

“Duck!” yelled orange “Hello. Hello,” said the Wal-mart greeter over and over.”Wait, you aren’t sup-posed to be here.”

“RUN!” directed orange “That lady looks like she really needs

to move. Orange move!” screamed Peaches

“Whoa, thanks for warning me. I saw my life flash before my eyes,” said orange

“Well good thing we’re at the bins now. We made it,” said orange holding back tears

“It looks like good-bye,” said Peaches Peaches later got picked up and was put in a basket and finds an orange all by himself.

“What’s your name?” asked Peaches

“Orange, what’s yours?” “Peaches O’Callahan,” said

Peaches proudly The orange turned around and it was the same orange. The one that went on the journey with Peaches. They stuck together until they were eaten. Friends until the last bite.

One scorching day in Kenya Rodney the Rhino and Bert the bird went to the water hole. When they got there eve-ryone was arguing. Rodney politely asked Zeke the zebra” why are you argu-ing?” Zeke said that “someone stole all the wa-ter.” Rodney got closer to the water hole to get a better look at what has happened. The water hole was as dry as the Sahara desert was hot. Then he decided that he was going to go up stream to find out what is going on. Bert thinks it could be a bad idea he could be dangerous. Bert said “what if he has weapons.” But after a few minutes of convincing he came with. They walk for a mile before they saw anything. Then on the hori-zon they saw a dam. It was

huge. The only way you could miss it is of you were blind. When they got there they called the Police. When the police got there they start to investigate. Then they went back to the crowd to tell them what happened. Then everyone in

Kenya came to unclog the stream. They would have never unclogged it without everyone’s help. Now they are going to Ollie the otter’s house to question him. While he was answering he was very shaky. After that they arrested him for water stealing water. The police checked the

rest of the stream to make sure there were no other dams in the stream.

Five years later Ollie got out of jail, he tried to clog it but it would not clog. It is be-cause of Rodney and his friends good deed is what keeps it flowing. Still to this day that stream will not clog no matter what you do it won’t clog.

Billions of years ago the land and the ocean had a contest to see which one of them gets to cover most of the Earth.

“I can’t lose this contest.” “How can I lose in a around the world race.” stated the land. “I do not think that you should brag about how you can’t lose in a contest that hasn’t even started.” announced the ocean. “I hope you are not considering that I will lose this race to someone like you.” blabbed the land arrogantly. “I am just saying that you should be less arrogant and you should pay more attention to the race.” broadcasted the water. “You are never going to win this contest because you are not as fast as I.” boasted the ground.

The sky was the referee and the writer of the contract that the winner got to sign that allows the winner to cover most of the earth after the contest was over and the trophies were handed out.” On your mark get set go” shouted the sky. The land was moving like a speeding bullet and wa- ter was right behind him well actually he was ahead of the land because being water he could flatten himself as flat as a piece of paper and proceeded right under lands feet and took an early lead. Water had crossed the finish line to win the race. “Where is the ground” As he was finishing his sentence the water, the sky, and all the other elements heard a thunderous cry. What is the source of the thun-derous cry? Where did it come from? Soon everybody was looking for the source of the thunderous cry. One Hour Later... The source of the cry was the ground he had his face against the atmosphere. “Why are you crying? “Because I lost the race and I should have won.” “That is why you should not brag and get over confident.” And you should not care if you win or lose the race it is all about having fun.” And from that day on the ground didn’t care if he won or lost a race he just had fun.

It was the first day of summer. New stars were being born. That day, Sun noticed that he could become the warmest he would ever be. “Ahh, the first day of summer. I can’t wait to see Star.” Said Sun. Well as Sun was getting ready to see his best friend Star, Moon wakes up to a heavy but steady wind blowing on him. Moon then realizes that he was giv-ing off that wind and he could become the coldest he would ever be. “Burr,” said Moon, I guess that it’s summer already.” Moon knew that at the age of eleven, on the first day of summer he would become the coldest thing in the entire universe. A couple miles to the west, Earth was waking up. He felt full of energy and full of life. Then he realized that he was completely full of life forms, and he probably would never have this many life forms on him again. Well back at Suns house, Star suddenly showed up. Sun had been waiting for him for over an hour. “Hey Star. Where have you been? I've been waiting for you for over an hour!” “Sorry, I just had to do a couple of things before I came over.” Sun and Star didn’t know what to do, so they just went outside to look for someone to tease. They hadn’t gone very far, when they saw Earth. Sun went up to him and said, “Hey blue and green dude, are you an alien?” Sun and Star fell over laughing. Once they had gathered themselves, Sun started blasting Earth with a really ray of heat. Earth could feel all the life in him fading away. He tried to get away, but Sun kept following him. When Sun stopped Earth felt different. He had no more life in him at all. Well, as Sun was tormenting Earth, Moon was stand-ing to the side. He wanted to help Earth, but he also didn’t want to get hurt by Sun. He decided to just stay out of the way. He thought that Earth would be able to save himself. Then Moon coughed. Sun looked at him. “Well, well, well. Look who we have here. My old friend Moon.” said Sun. Moon didn’t say anything back. Sun starts coming over to him, with Star trailing right behind him. Moon was really scared, but he still didn’t say anything. When Sun got over to him he said “Did you like what we did to star? Because that is exactly what we are going to do to you. As Sun started beaming Moon with his ray of heat, Moon started to realize something. As Earth was just standing to the side, Moon was getting hurt. He realized that this was exactly what he had done to Earth. Moon got really mad. He made one of his biggest balls of cold, and threw it at sun. Star burned Moon, but Sun was hurt more. Moon threw another ball of cold, at Star. Star moved out of the way, but sun was too weak to move. It hit him right in the middle of his stomach. All of Suns hotness had been smacked right out of him. Sun would never be warm again. Sun then realized what it felt like to be bullied. “Stop! Please! I’m sorry I treated you like that. Can you forgive me? Said Sun. “Okay, but only if you promise to be nice to everyone from now on.” said Moon. Sun said he would, and Moon apologized to Earth for not helping him when he needed help. After everyone apologized to each other they decided to be friends. After that day Sun and Star never bullied anyone again.

The Animal’s Revenge Kasi Garcia

As far ago as anyone can remember lived a squirrel monkey named Washington. He was playing with his friends Michelle the gazelle and Babble the elephant. In the mid-dle of their freeze tag game they suddenly heard screams, then gunshots. Washington and his closest friends ran away, seeing tall figures in the shadows. As they ran home they parted ways, each going to opposite sides of the rain forest.

At Washington’s tree house his family discussed what their son had seen. He told them the whole story except how scared Washington was when he heard the gunshots. The group of animals all told their story and never left their house in fear of their lives.

The next day Washington’s pack was the first one to find out the damage the hunters had done. Washington was more surprised than he had ever been when his father said, “Those hunters killed the last of zebras except the youngest one and even he has severe injuries.”After Washington heard this important news he immediately reported it back to the bright gazelle and powerful elephant. “I heard that the last ze-bra, Zack is staying at the Amazon Hospital.” offered Michelle. That is when the group of friends silently agreed, “We must help the last zebra”.

It wasn’t easy making their way into the village. They had to get past the nosy elephants roaming the busy streets, making up excuses as they went along. The biggest obstacle the trio faced was the high security at the tiny hospital which only housed four patients. Babble, Michelle and Washington were puzzled by the giant security cameras and large guards stationed at the doors.

“Can we see Zack?” asked Washington. “Only family can visit him during these hours.” replied the tallest guard. “But the hunters killed the rest of his family.” said Babble worriedly. “We are under strict orders to keep all unwanted visitors out!” boomed the stout guard. By then

Michelle and Babble’s dreams were crushed. “There must be a way to get in and I’m going to find it.” announced the squirrel monkey as he loped toward the back of the building.

Babble and Michelle were terrified of going some-

where they weren’t wanted but Washington was a little more adventurous. “What if we get caught?” asked Babble. “ I guess you could stay in the parking lot. “ said Washington realizing the amount of noise an ele-phant would make in a hospital. “Michelle and I will climb up the pipe on the side of the wall. Promptly after he said this they both climbed up the building at an amazing speed, reaching the top in seconds. In the second floor room they were both exhausted but had to control their breath-ing so no employee would hear them. In front of them lay a skinny and bruised zebra. They were shocked by his condition, the weakest animal they had ever seen. He looked as if in a trance so Washington thought he could whisper, “Maybe we should come back…” Washington stopped when out of the corner of his eye he saw the zebra slowly turn around and sit up. He had a look of surprise on his face but was to weary to say anything.

“Hello I’m Washington, who are you?” asked the monkey as if Zack was the one out of place. “Um, I’m Zack but what are you doing here?” he mumbled dully. “We are here to investigate your case.” explained Washington. “Oof, who’s your partner?” inquired Zack. “I am Michelle.” answered the gazelle, “We are trying to catch those two hunters that killed your family.” That’s great, what time is it?” Zack asked. “11:55 pm” Michelle and Washington replied in unison. “In five minutes the nurse I going to give me another dose of medicine.” The partners stopped when they heard foot-steps and then a knock on the door. “Run!” Michelle yelled and they both leapt out the window.

“I think Zack will be fine at the hospital be-cause we can’t waste anymore time.” announced Bab-ble. “That will definitely help us with the case.” com-mented Washington. “I agree.” added Michelle and they all went out to look for clues.

Through the forest they went picking up clue after clue. The group was sur-prised that the hunt-ers didn’t bother cleaning their trail. They followed the clues

the princes of the jungle and all of Asia rejoiced. The end.

For many genera-tions, wolves and tigers have been enemies. No one ever even thought about being friends. But on sunset, two baby cubs, one tiger and one wolf had decided to come together and show everyone that they could live in har-mony forever. The only bad part was that their fathers were the leaders of both packs. The wolf cubs’ father was the alpha wolf of the pack. He created all the rules, like the most important one. Ti-gers and wolves aren’t friend they are enemies, and we are not allowed to communicate in any form. While the wolves were making rules, the tigers wanted to be friends again like they were before! One late evening the tiger family went to apologize to the wolves for making their drinking water dirty. When the tigers got to the woods

the wolves decided to set a trap and capture the tiger and even make them starve to death. The wolf cub wasn’t too happy about this plan his father had. The wolf cub decided to tell the tiger cubs. The two of them set another trap for the wolves. By the time both of the families were captured the wolf father said family mem-bers don’t set traps on each other. The wolf said to him that they are all family and they set traps on their family which is the tigers. The wolves were so sorry that they ever got mad at the tiger even though they almost ran out of water. The rudeness of the wolves made things better for the tigers. much anymore.” “Let me burn,” you said. Then the grass got scared. The fire got out of control and burned the grass. The grass got mad at the fire and said, “I don’t want to be your friend anymore.” The fire got sad. Then he finds a friend, a flower.

The flower said, “Burn me so I can grow better because

when I burn then I can stretch my stems and petals.” “That’s a good enough explanation.” “Thanks for helping me grow,” says the flower. Then the grass grows better and gets happy. He tries to be

friends with the fire but the fire said, “NO!” The grass says, “Sorry. It’s all right that you burned me. I did not know that you help me grow.”

People think that fire messes up the grass, but that helps the

grass grow better. People think it won’t grow well like it used to grow.

Now there were more than seventy thousand in the Arctic. “Polar, we did it. We helped the polar bears fight back”, Anida said with joy. Anida was so glad that the harsh times were over. The following day her father came. “The country’s were using too much gas and saw that you were helping at the Arc-tic. They wanted to pitch in on their part so they aren’t using as much gas”, her father said when they sat down in Anida’s den. “That’s great, but how do they know I’m doing this’, asked Anida. “Hunters came here for more fish. They watched what you did with the baby polar bear and went back to their countries to tell everyone. “That’s awesome, but how do you know about them”, Anida asked. “I was there when you saved her and saw the hunters. I told them how much you wanted to help the white, chubby polar bears and how much you loved them. They went back to their countries and came back to tell me after a while. I figured you might want to hear about this. You know, when you left I wasn’t so sure about you going by the big polar bears, but now I am thankful that you did go.” “Oh Papa, you’re amazing”, Anida exclaimed. “I also brought my things so I could stay here too”, Anida’s father told her. “That’s great. Thank you so much Papa”, Anida said with excitement. Anida stayed with the polar bears. She didn’t have to nurse any bears, except one who pounded on the ice and got a piece of ice stuck in his paw. Anida stayed by Polar’s side and by the other bears too. She stayed where she was in the Arctic the rest of her life. Anida never had to get the polar bears up on their feet again. The people in the other countries respected her wishes and the polar bears never became endangered again.

Polar was the one in the water at the time and saw the baby first. He called for Anida. The girl got there as fast as a cheetah catching prey. She gasped at the sight of the beautiful baby, but Anida didn’t want to waste time. A baby was about to go under board. She carefully creped to the baby and soothed her. She grabbed her when she was at the right distance. When they were safe again the baby began to cry. Anida gave the baby to her mother. “I’m so sorry”, said the baby’s mother. “It’s okay, I was just glad I was there to help”, said Anida. The next day the ice wasn’t

Anida knew a lot about polar bears. She even made friends with one, but that’s getting away from the story. She lives by the Arctic and by some of the white polar bears. She was well aware about the breaking ice and how it was breaking. Anida watches those white bears die day by day. She would love to do something about it, so she goes to where most of the polar bears are. It only takes Anida two days to get to the bears. When she arrives she notices a polar bear she recog-nizes. She goes up to him to get a better look. “Polar”, Anida asked. “Anida, is that you”? asked the big, white mammal. “I haven’t seen you in years”. Polar and Anida were friends since they were babies. Their father’s knew each other and that’s how they became good friends. But, Anida had to move when she was seven years old because it was too cold and she out grew her warm clothes. When he was fully awake he no-ticed the ocean had turned a light blue color and the empty bottles had turned to fish and swam away. The sky was also its normal shade of blue and the ship was sinking anymore the holes had filled and as he marveled at all this his ship came to a halt and they were unharmed and in Rome. He delivered the gold which was used to settle a debt the Greeks owed the Romans. Captain John and his crew made it back safely to Greece.

Lilah’s Folk Tale Here it comes three…two…one. Oh, no! I started too early. Let’s start at five. Four…

three…two… one. “Ahooo”, I started the morning howl. Everyone else joined in as we howled good morn-ing. Then the pack leader (King) stopped howling and we stopped howling as well. “As you all know”, said King, ”It’s time to see what these pups can do. “Yeahy”, all the pups including me said. “First let’s see how these pups hunt. Parents find your litter and tell them what part you have. Make sure they do their best!” Father was better at attacking and bringing the animal down. Mother was better at track-ing the animals. She had a good nose. I don’t know who I’m most alike. Huntress (my sister) Is good at attacking, smelling and hearing. She can do both mother and fathers part. We call silver (my other sister) Silver Eye because she can see what most can’t. She’d be better at tracking like mother. Boulder (my brother) can stalk and attack very well. He could be a leader some day. But for now he takes up fathers part. In our pack before the leader dies he picks a new leader, of his choice. But that wolf has to be an adult. The leader picks someone who is good at leading and other things. That wolf also has to be open to others ideas. Boulder would be really good at that. I don’t think I’d ever be caught as a leader. Mother and father agreed on what they are going to do. Mother will show us how to track. Then when we find something, King will give us the plan and father will show us and help us do it. Whenever King got lost mother would show us how to track. The trial lead us to a field, with elk in it! “Okay!”, said King. “You all know the plan. Now show the new ones how to do it.” The three teams went different directions. I didn’t know King was the one who gives the signal to attack, so I jumped onto that elks back. I didn’t know elks were so strung either. As soon as I touched that elks back it kicked and jumped trying to get me off. Finally the elk rolled around and I fell off. I didn’t understand why they didn’t help. The whole pack was watching me. Boulder, Huntress and Silver looked like they wanted to join in. Mother and father looked frightened. King looked mad and his mate looked worried.

I lowered my head, pulled back my ears and put my legs between my les instinctively. King looked at my parents. “Did you forget to tell him I give the signal to attack?”

Mother and father looked at each other. “I thought you told them!?”, they said at the same time. “I guess not”, said mother lowering her and putting her tail between her legs, the same I had down. Silver spoke up. “Fellow brother, I don’t mean to speak against you. But—they have told us. They always say the lead gives a signal, whatever it may be, to the other wolves so they attack at the same time.” She paused. “From the excitement I have forgotten as well.”

By Sarah Fergus So I hear that there is a Solar System. Yeah, and in that Solar System there is a Sun, Moon, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Venus Pluto and Mercury. Now the Sun has its own little posse. The sun is the main person in the group. Without the sun there is no friendship between the other plan-ets. The sun solves all of the problems in the Solar System. One day the Sun is shining so brightly and everyone on earth is happy and joyful. Slowly the clouds start to cover up the sun and everyone starts to get a little upset because the sun is not shining anymore. Soon everyone starts to think it’s going to rain. Then the sun starts flickering on and off for an hour. Then the sun just shuts off. Now nobody can see. The sun didn’t shine anymore. It affected the Solar System too. Because then the Sun wouldn’t solve anymore. The Sun now is more upset than anyone because the sun likes to shine brightly. The moon (the sun’s best friend) told the other planets to all go to earth and go into Target in Canada and go down isle B9 to the electricity isle and find the biggest light bulb ever. When they found the light bulb they wanted to see what else was in the store. So they bought some toothpaste, a vacuum, soap, and a hairbrush. Then Mercury said “I think this will last us a long time.” After that they went to a checkout counter to buy the items. They met a girl named Sally. The planets said they had never seen a girl before. Then Sally said $12.63, the planets looked confused. Then Sally said $12.63. So the planets started rolling around the store trying to run away from the security guards. Then they started to fly up in the air and into outer space. When the planets found the Sun they used a piece from the hairbrush to cut her open. Then they stuck the light bulb inside of her. After that the sun shined brightly again. The people on earth now could see the flowers and the grass again. The Sun started to talk again too. But now the Sun had to solve the problem on who stole the toothpaste, the vacuum, soap and the hairbrush from Canada.

Someone was creeping up behind Steven, and he was sneaky and mysterious. When Steven turned around he noticed it was just his best friend Jeffrey. They were peacefully having a conversation when Jeffrey jumped up and yelped. A lady bug was crawling up Jeffrey’s body. “It’s okay; he won’t do you any harm,” Said Steven. “I know,” answered Jeffrey. “Do you want to go for a walk”? Questioned Jeffrey. “Yeah”said Steven. When they were going out for the woods Jeffrey stopped Steven to go and get a garbage bag. Jeffrey said that if we find anything we could put it in the black garbage bag. After Jeffrey went to get the garbage bag Steven said that Jeffrey was really adventurous. Then they began to start their walk. “I wonder what we are going to find,” said Jeffrey They were getting board and ready to go home until they found this mask that looked like an orange. The mask looked exactly like Jeffrey and Steven. “What is that”? Questioned Steven “It’s a mask” Stated Jeffrey Steven picked up the mask and was just about to put it on when a big scream came out of Jeffrey. “No! You never know what can happen to you if you put that mask on. It could stick to your face forever and never come off. “Okay, I won’t put the mask on” Steven said.

Today is audition day. “I can’t do this.” “Yes you can. Just believe in yourself.”Said Franky. “ No I can’t. You all heard Roy say: I’m no good.” They all walked down to The Frog House. The judges Simon, Rock and Lizzy were already auditioning other frogs. Roy was next then Fergie. “Wow, he’s really good. How am I supposed to com-pete against him?” Mumbled Fergie to herself. It was her turn. Fergie’s heart was pounding and more fear came rushing up her little frog body. “ Uh,oh. I can’t do this.” Then she slowly walked towards the stage like she didn’t believe she could win. “ Um… I’m Fergie.” Then she sang her song. “That was amazing! Good job.” Fergie was surprised. “You have made it to the top 2!” Everybody was cheering and so excited. Now the auditions were closed. The judges had their top 2. But once she heard who she heard who she was against she thought it was the end. “What!?! I’m going against Roy! He is going to beat me. You guys heard how he sung and what he said: You can’t beat me, you’re just a little frog. “Don’t worry. You are going to win Fergie.” Said Fire.

Fergie went back to The Frog House. The judges Simon, Rock, and Lizzy were waiting. “Hi. Well you both have made it through and you will have to do a sing off.” Roy was sure about winning. So they both sang their song. “You both sang really great, but we can only pick one frog. So we went with… Fergie! “ “ Congratulations, you are the newest Frog Idol!” Cheered the judges. “Oh, my gosh, I won! Thank you so much!” Everybody cheered, but Roy. He thought he was going to win for sure. So it was official Fergie was the newest Frog Idol winner.

Fergie was meant to sing. She just moved to a new pond and already made a lot of friends. Her friends were Flippy, Fire, and Franky. Fergie and her friends were just sitting on Lilly pads, when suddenly a piece of paper came flying into Flippy’s face. “Hey guys look at this.” “Cool, but what is it?”They all said. So then they read it out loud: Frog Idol-Singers wanted Open to every frog When: Tomorrow night Time: 7:00 p.m. Auditions will be held at The Frog House and only two can make it. Good luck! “You should try out Fergie, you could win!” Said Fire excitedly. “Yeah!” Shouted Fergie. “I’ll tryout and hopefully win.” While they were all talking another frog came hopping over. “Hey, I’m Roy. So I overheard that you are going to try out for Frog Idol.” “Yeah, it’s going to be great!” Fergie replied. “Well, good luck, you’re going to need it, because I’m going to win. Ha! Ha! Ha! You can’t beat me, I’ve won three times in a row. How many times have you won? Zero. That’s just what I thought.” “But… I’m just as good as you are.” “No you’re not.” Then Roy walked away laughing. Fergie didn’t feel so good about auditioning, but she still prac-ticed. “La la la la la la laaaa”

The Mighty Foxes

By: Ari R. There were once 2 very powerful kingdoms, the fox kingdom and the Yupik tribe. Years ago these two kingdoms had a war because they could not find peace between each other. It is time to put the past behind us, it is now the present. The chief of the Yupik tribe just sent out his two sons to go hunting. Chen and Akobo were far along when they heard thousands of footsteps in the snow behind them. They turned and saw an entire kingdom of foxes, what they didn’t know was that this was the fox kingdom that their ancestors had fought years ago. Not knowing this they shot their arrows at ran-dom and went to claim their “prize.” They discovered that they had killed 4 adults and 3 babies. The first mourned over their loss of family, but they then real-ized that these boys were the chief’s sons from the Yupik tribe. They all wondered why the chief would send out his sons to hunt the foxes when they were sup-posed to have peace between each other. It didn’t matter to them anymore, they were outraged, they were furious. Just as they were closing in on the boys, a command was brought forth and a path was made. It was the Great Montezuma and he had come to fix the problem. His face was welcoming, but then he saw his poor foxes, shot and killed, his face then changed in expression them that. Montezuma warned them that their village will be cursed and destroyed because they had hunted irresponsibly. They didn’t care and they completely ignored him and started going home, it was a long journey back. Montezuma was a peaceful and wise old fox, but now he was furious. How could they expect him to stay calm when 7 of his precious foxes were dead and slung over 2 boy’s shoulders, just waiting to be eaten at a campfire? Montezuma made a plan and everyone listened. He wanted to make them pay for what they had done. The next morning they would

go into the village and destroy it as they had prom-ised. brought back for the feast, the boys showed him. The chief went crazy! He scolded them for hunting the might fox. What the boys didn’t know was that they had just created more problems between these 2 very powerful kingdoms. The next morning the foxes attacked again. It was an awful battle. The foxes charged with their sharp as razors and their teeth bared and showing. The Yupiks had arrows, but those foxes weren’t giv-ing in, or at least not now they weren’t. The foxes dodged all the arrows, but a few were still shot. The rescue foxes carried away the bodies before the Yupiks could. The war went on non-stop for days. Finally, Montezuma had seen enough and so he took his foxes home. But he swore that the battle was not yet over. The tribe celebrated for the next few days while Montezuma thought of another plan to get back. Then he did, they stopped eating mice and as a result the mice popu-lation. Montezuma told them to go destroy the vil-lage and in return they wouldn’t eat them. The mice did as told. The chief was now outraged and he immedi-ately ban the boys and forbid them to ever come back to the village. The boys were very upset and being they had nothing else to do or nowhere else to go, they decided to go to Montezuma to apologize for their actions. First Montezuma told them to just call him Monte. He also told them that as long as you learn from them it is okay to make mistakes. Chen and Akobo agreed and told him all about them getting ban and the mice and the whole village turning into the area of chaos. Monte had a certain pity for them and he decided to take them in and raise them as his own. The boys thought it was a great idea and they agreed to it. They then asked Monte if he could possibly stop the charging mice in the village.

This is a fennec fox , which is a type of fox that lives in Africa and Asia.
