CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Every child Pre-k - 5th grade in the parish is invited to participate in the Christmas Eve Children's Mass Gospel Re-enactment on December 24th, at 5 p.m.. Please plan to arrive early. The church fills up by 4:30 p.m.

Pre-K & Kindergarden = Angels 1st grade = Stars 2nd grade = Lambs 3rd grade = Shepherds 4th grade = Main Characters 5th grade = Narrators

The final practice is December 17th at 9:30-10:45 a.m. for all children. Children will receive their costumes on the 17th at Rehearsal. If you have any questions contact Pia at 678-7813 or [email protected].

The Sand Dunes Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America presented Holy Name of Jesus Chrismon ornaments for our Christmas tree in the admin lobby. These stitched pieces have a silk backing that came from Therese Novicki’s wedding dress that she wore 60 years ago. Special thanks to all of the ladies who made these beautiful ornaments.

Poinsettias will be needed to adorn the altar during the Christmas season. Parishioners are invited to donate towards the purchase of these flowers in honor or memory of a loved one. Place your donation in an envelope with the name of your loved one written on it and bring it to the office or simply place it in the offertory basket.

Join us for dinner on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 to celebrate the Feast of The Most Holy Name of Jesus, our parish namesake. Mass will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a blessing over the memorial pavers at 6:00 p.m. followed by a catered dinner in the Parish Life Center. Tickets can be picked up in the parish office during business hours. The dinner is FREE but YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET.

Due to limited seating in the PLC the dinner is for registered members of Holy Name of Jesus only.

First place winners received a $25 cash award, second place received a $15 cash award and third place received a $10 cash award. All received a participation certificate.

Our 1st and 2nd place winners go on to compete at District 5 against seven different parishes and possibly go on to compete at State and International Competition. Last year over 19,000 children entered a poster. Thank you to all who participated and Congratulations to our winners!

The Emerald Coalition for Life: The Emerald Coalition for Life: The Knights of Columbus

needs your help in the fight for the unborn. The Emerald Coast Coalition for Life is sponsoring its annual Walk for Life on January 13th in Pensacola.
