FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Dear Parents,
It‟s been nearly six months since I took over. I have tried hard
to bring about a change in the two areas that hold the key to the success of a school –discipline and
academics. I think we have been able to achieve success in both areas.
A lot of you think that discipline and academics are the sole responsibility of the school .Nothing can be
further away from the truth. I think (as I have reiterated earlier) that there is an inevitable overlap between
the school and family .One can‟t compartmentalize the two .Not only is there a overlap between school
and family, but there is a overlap between family, school and society .The child and all of us are a part of
this dynamic system. None of us can remain unaffected by it .However, the role of school and family is to
make sure that a child is shown what is right and what is wrong .And the child is made aware of the
consequences of disobedience .Sometimes the punishment can be painful –but in the long run it will help
the child .He will learn to respect the law .I expect every parent to support this drive to improve the
discipline .And I would like to thank you all for supporting us.
Similarly with academics .The new examination system introduced by the CBSE (CCE),has had a kind of
“negative” effect on some children .They feel that they don‟t have to study because they can‟t be failed.
True –but not failing in school does not mean you won‟t fail outside!! There are no semesters in life.
There are no retests and there are no summer or winter holidays!! It is for that future that we prepare the
child. Don‟t think that incase the child is stress free in school, he will be like that outside school as well.
For every successful endeavor, there will be stress and tension .Ask the child to be competitive –the cake
outside is extremely small .
Please do use the portal and technology to keep in touch with the school .Very soon we will be a
paperless school ,and everything will be communicated through the portal .But I see very few of you
using the same. Please start using it.
Have a wonderful day and do keep in touch .You are most welcome to meet me anytime in my office.

Vocational Education & Training (VET) is widely discussed, but very less effectively implemented area
of education parallels in India. There is more need of effective coordination at public and private level
with innovative inputs. The Planning Commission has already identified the need to address Vocational
Training in 12th, Five Year Plan (2012 – 2017) as a major area of thrust and implementation.
VEDIC is established to address VET, in meaningful way rather than just “me too” approach. Looking
ahead for establishing social balance through uplifting deprived and economically backward section of
the society and providing livelihood opportunities through skill interventions
