Microbiology is a rapidly growing science and the diversity of microorganisms seems enormous. Master of Science in Microbiology is designed to strengthen the scientific knowledge of life, growth of microorganisms and their interaction with environment that aim to solve a range of problems affecting human health, the environment, climate and food and agriculture. This program will provide an understanding of the basis of immune recognition and vaccine design, the infectious diseases and methods of control along with microbial biotechnology and parasitology. The student will develop an understanding of the importance of microbiology in environmental, agricultural and industrial settings. The field is of enormous importance and research in this discipline has been developed by new and exciting technologies such as proteomics, genomics, bioinformatics and genetic engineering. The curriculum for Microbiology is structured in a manner such that the students from pharmacy, medicine, biochemistry, environment, health science and other bioscience students could enroll in the program to enrich their capacity in the field of Microbiology in order to broaden their sphere of opportunities in the marketplace. The program is designed as a transformative program, which offers students the education, training, and first-hand experience essential for successful international careers. The purpose of this program is to encourage students to make unceasing and diligent efforts to pursue holistic self-development to cultivate self- discipline and integrity, to nurture creativity into broad-minded future leaders with international outlook.
