How do you manage finances and carry out accounting? How do you motivate employees and successfully promote the company and its products? Interaction with the market and with regu- latory practices is also examined. You will have a great deal of personal latitude in design- ing your course of study, with the possibility of com- bining individual areas of interest such as accounting, auditing and governance, corporate finance and banking, organization and human resource management, marke- ting, business policy and governance, and management science however you wish. The master’s program in business administration will teach you how to apply your knowledge in a problem- solving manner to new and unfamiliar situations in the realm of business administration. You will also acquire the skills needed to make competent assessments based on limited access to information while demonstrating social and ethical responsibility. Course of study The master’s program provides you with an advanced academic education and empowers you to engage in in- dependent academic and project-oriented work. Master’s students must earn 120 ECTS credits. The course of study is structured into a major study program (90 ECTS credits) and a minor study program (30 ECTS credits). The major study program in business administration is composed of compulsory modules designed to deepen foundational knowledge combined with core elective modules from the following areas: Accounting, Audi- ting and Governance; Corporate Finance and Banking; Organization and Human Resources; Marketing; Busi- ness Policy and Governance; and Management Science. A master’s thesis worth 30 ECTS credits rounds out the study program. Career prospects A master’s degree in business administration will equip you with ideal prerequisites to take on demanding specialist or management roles in companies in indus- try, the financial sector, the services sector and in public administration, or to set up your own business. More- over, master’s graduates with the right aptitude have the possibility to acquire a doctorate in business administ- ration, which lays an excellent foundation for a career in academia.
