Replica Boxwood Wall Panelsfor Underground LoungeSituation:A secret underground urban lounge inspired both by English sculpture gardens and turn of the century Paris brasseries needed a makeover, and Commercial Silk Int’l was sourced to provide Replica Boxwood wall panels to grace the entrance stairs and bar area.

Initiatives:The Boxwood topiary plants heighten an alluring atmosphere akin to a scene pulled from Alice in Wonderland replete with oversized chairs, mystical lighting, floating umbrellas, and murals and mirrors that trick the eye into believing there are enchanted forests and hallways just within reach. Rooms are connected by columns covered with the Boxwood wall plants, which offer a contrasting texture to the bright furniture and other wall decorations.

Results:The Replica Boxwood panels succeeded in providing essential character to an unusual restaurant theme. The Boxwood panels were shipped in square shaped mats and tiled together and installed by restaurant decorators.

Commercial Silk International’s ThermaLeaf® artificial foliage has been tested and complies with California Title 19, NFPA 701, U.S. Government SIN 4722-06 Flammability Code, Class 1 BS 476: Part 7, Class 0 BS 476: Part 7 and Part 6, NF X 70-100 Toxicity, PSB PLS Class 2, and qualifies as a NFPA Class A or USBC Class 1 fire retardant material as tested by ASTM E84-95.

Outdoor artificial foliage manufactured by Commercial Silk Int’l, is a specially formulated weatherable plastic designed and engineered to withstand harsh outdoor conditions caused by wind, water and sun. PermaLeaf® combines UV blocking technology with strong colorfast pigments to create an inherently fade resistant foliage for outdoor use. PermaLeaf® has been tested for color-fastness according to ASTM G155-05, and after one year of UV exposure equivalent to Miami, Florida or Phoenix Arizona, PermaLeaf® had NO COLOR LOSS visible by sight.

Outdoor artificial foliage builds on the same technology used in PermaLeaf®, but utilizes the most advanced color and UV formulation to produce the most durable, longest lasting foliage available.
