Through my 15 year
experience as a teacher of
English Language, I learned
to introduce a variety of
techniques and procedures
to make sure that I meet
the individual differences
among my students.
Among these techniques
were: lecturing, video
shows, educational games,
pair and group work,
debates, and brainstorming.

Based on the above mentioned results, I noticed that there is a
major discrepancy in
the auditory teaching -
learning style. My teaching style was
15% auditory.My students’ learning
style was 26%
I have decided to gear up my
instruction styles to better suit my
students’ auditory preferences:
the teacher will provide: more verbal instruction more dialogues and
discussions rhythm and sounds as
memory aidsAlso, I will keep on varying my
techniques to suit all the needs
and preferences of my students.

On the other hand, students’ textual learning
style preference is very
low, so I will encouraged
to:
Concentrate more on written
texts and captions than on
illustrations. Outline chapters prior to
reading them Write out lecture notes in
complete sentences. Practice their recall by listing
key terms and details.
