Los Angeles, which opened the trip by taking two of three games at Philadelphia, is in second place in the NL West, 0.5 games behind the Giants, but is still atop the Wild Card standings, 2.0 games ahead of the Cardinals. Following tomorrow’s getaway-day matinee against the Reds, the Dodgers return home for a crucial six-game homestand with three games each against the Giants and the Cubs. Grandal was taken by the Reds with the 12 th overall pick in the 2010 draft before being traded to San Diego after the 2011 season and Turner was picked by Cincinnati in the seventh round of the 2006 draft and subsequently traded to the Orioles in Dec. 2008. 40-GAME SPRINT: The Dodgers continue their seven-game

road trip (2-3) and enter their final 40 games of the season with the

third of four games against the Reds following last night’s 11-1

loss, Los Angeles’ third consecutive defeat. Los Angeles, which

opened the trip by taking two of three games at Philadelphia, is in

second place in the NL West, 0.5 games behind the Giants, but is

still atop the Wild Card standings, 2.0 games ahead of the

Cardinals. Following tomorrow’s getaway-day matinee against the

Reds, the Dodgers return home for a crucial six-game homestand
