JuSTIfICACIÓN
Las funciones exponenciales son una de las familias de funciones más importantes en las matemáticas por la gran cantidad de aplicaciones que tienen. En la Administración de Empresas se usan para interés compuesto, anualidades y planes de ahorro entreotras. En las ciencias naturales las aplicaciones son innumerables incluyendo modelos de crecimientoen biología, reacciones de primer orden en químicaorbitales moleculares en química física, etc.. En este módulo veremos los conceptos básicos de construcción de gráficas, solución de ecuaciones exponenciales y algunas aplicaciones de las funciones exponenciales.

Transformaciones de las funciones exponenciales
Al igual que las funciones estudiadas anteriormentepodemos transformar las funciones exponencialesvariando sus parámetros (números) para producir traslaciones, reflexiones, estiramientos y contracciones. Las funciones que resultan de estas transformaciones se conocen como funciones de forma exponencial. Veremos algunos ejemplos a continuación.
