Introduction 10 minutesGood morning, students. Good morning How are you today?Im fine thanks. And you?Im fine too, thank you.Yes we are.Are you ready for todays material?Good, but let me check the attendance listfirstTeacher calls the students name and fill the Students listen to the teacher and answer theattendance list. teachers call.Teacher checks the students initial knowledge. Students listening to the teacher and answer Apperceptionokay students, before we enter this newthe teacher questions.material, let me know, how far your Yes momunderstanding about the last material, pleaseraise your hand if you know the answer UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 1

2. Teachers ActivitiesStudents ActivitiesNote Times AllocationHow many edges of a cube?( Students raise their hand)Yes students A, tell us your answer please!Student A:there are 12 edges MomGood, everyone agree with Student A answer, Students : yes we aredont you?Next, how about the edges of cuboids, do they (Students raise their hand)have the same number of edges?Student B, please? Student B:My answer is yes they do, mom. Since they have the same shape but the edges have the different lengthThats right, thank you Student BHow about the face diagonal of both cube andcuboids? do they have the same numbers too? Ifit is true how many face diagonals they have?Im sorry Student A, not you again, lets give(student A raise her hand again)an opportunity to another studentsStudent A: Oh, Okay MomWhat date today? So that, I think its the turn for you C, toDecember 3rd Momanswer the question Me?! Ill try to answer. I think they also have the same numbers of face diagonals, each of them have 12 face diagonals Alright mom(student C come in front of theYes, youre right, So why dont you come here class and explain his answer)in front of the class and show them to youryes momfriends, please?Thank you C, you can go back to your sitStudents, from your friend explanation before, who can guess about the space diagonals andStudent D:May I try to answer it Mom?diagonal planes of cube and cuboids?UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 2 3. Teachers ActivitiesStudents Activities Note Times Allocation Of course student D, go on tell us yourThanks Mom, I think they have the same answer numbers of space diagonals and diagonal planes, they have 4 space diagonals and 4 Good answer student D, is still any of you thatdiagonal planes. not understand yet about this material? No Mom, we have understand it Thats good, so we can continue to the next material, are you ready guys?Of course Mom Today, we will discuss about the component of Motivation prism and pyramid, lets give attention to this How could we do that Mom? slide, studying this material is important for ourMust we have a measurement first?See : daily life, for example: when we want to build awhat do we call those two crossing linesattachment 1 roof of a building in pyramid shape, we need to Mom? determine where is the center point, then we can determine the altitude of those roof, just like what you see in the slide Okay Okay, easy guys, we are going to talk Yeees.. about that, so please be active during this lesson, ask me whatever that you dont know, and well try to find the right answer together, Ok? Main ActivityExplorationTeacher ask student to keep attention to the Students listen to the teacher explanation and Class25 minutespicture in the second slide. give their respond.presentationStudent, in the first slide Ive give you a kind of Student E :The pyramid building in Egyptpyramid shape, could you tell me the other momexample of pyramid shape in our environment?yes youre right student D, thats anotherexample of pyramid UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 3 4. Teachers Activities Students Activities Note Times AllocationHow about prism, is there any one of you thatStudent F :Mom, how about pizza box, I thinkcan tell me an example of thing in ourthats prism shapeenvironment which is in prism shape?very good guys, is there any other opinion? Student G : yes mom, I think bolt is also aprism, if the middle part is not holedYes, it could be a prism, thanks G, since wehave been know some kind of thing in ourenvironment which are in pyramid and prismshape, lets transform it to the geometry shapeso we can find the right definition of prism andpyramid See :here, lets give attention to the second slideOh, so that are pyramid and prism inattachment 2Yeah, thats a little complicated figure, butgeometric shape, thats a little complicateddont worry, well learn about how to draw it figurelater Look at the figure and please identify theyes Momproperties of these figureNow first, please raise your hand to tell me the Student H :Mom, its bounded by twoproperties of the first figure congruent opposite facesyes youre right, the other please? Student J : Those two opposite faces areparallel momgood, next, how about the other faces?Student K : Theyre intersect at parallel linesmom, such that parallel edges are producedAmazing, youre so good guys, Im proud of Student C :Me? Oh,,okay. A prism is a shapeyou, so from the properties we can make a that bounded by two opposite faces which aredefinition of a prism, that will be explain by,congruent and parallelsince this is December , 1+2 is 3, C as number3, please tell us your answer UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 4 5. Teachers Activities Students Activities Note Times AllocationThats good, lets ask whether your friend haveStudent Z : Mom, I think we need to add thedifferent answer, how about you guys, is thereparallel edges, I mean like this, a prism is aany other opinion? shape which is bounded by two opposite faceswhich are congruent and parallel, and byother faces which intersect at parallel edgesSuper guys, dont forget that prism is a solid,( the student write the teacher explanation)so we can change the word shape by solid. Thuswe can define a prism as a solid figure whichare congruent and parallel, and by other faceswhich intersect at parallel edges( Go to the next figure, that is pyramid)We have had the definition of prism, now letsdefine the next figure, that is pyramidSame as before guys, please raise your hand to Student L : Mom, Ill try to answertell the properties of this figureyes please, student L Student L : the pyramid is bounded by a baseThats true Student L, is there anyone who a polygonal base and the lateral faces arewant to add the answer of Student L? always in triangle form MomStudent M :the lateral faces meet at a singleExcellent, we can call those point as apex, so point Momguys, who will tell the definition of pyramid? Student N : I will Mom, a pyramid is a solidfigure which is bounded by a polygonal baseand a number of triangles as its lateral faceswhich meet at a single pointYoure right Student N, dont forget that theOf course mom, a pyramid is a solid figuremeet point is called apex, so can you repeat your which is bounded by a polygonal base and aanswer slowly so that your friend can write the number of triangles as its lateral faces whichdefinition?meet at a single point called apex(The other student write it) UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 5 6. Teachers ActivitiesStudents ActivitiesNoteTimes AllocationTeacher divides the class into 6 groups, each Students listen to the teacher order and prepare Seegroup contains 5 students.to make a group. attachment 3Students, I am going to divide you into 6yes mom, as you likegroups, so each group contain of 5 students, letStudy inme divide you fairly, okay?teams(teacher divide the class and distribute the(students move into their group, and receiveworksheets into each group) the worksheet)Please read the instruction in the worksheet, if Yeees Mom..there is any instruction that you are not Seeunderstand you can ask me, please do theattachment 4worksheet in team, make sure that every memberunderstand the content because we will have agame tournament after this, is it clear?Good question student, Im sorry I am forget. IExcuse me Mom, how much time that wethink 15 minutes is enough to do thosehave to do this discussion?worksheet, ok? Ok MomTeacher prepares the stuff for the game Students do the worksheet in team.tournament.Elaboration Teacher finishes the group discussion andStudents finish their work and listen to the40 minutesprepares to conduct a team game tournament. teacher order. So students, I think now you can finish your Horay,,yes Mom!discussion and guess what, well start the game! Are you ready guys?Ok, first Ill divide you into another group and Yes Momplease sit at the tournament table that Ive beenprepared before in circleTeacher calls the students name and divide them Students listen to the teacher order and move Gamesinto tournament group base on their ability thatto tournament tables. Tournamentteachers already known.(after all students have been moved)Students, here I tell you the rule of the gameplease listen carefully. First, every player in theUM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 6 7. Teachers ActivitiesStudents Activities Note Times AllocationTournament table must determine their turn byHow about the other student Mom, I mean Seepicking a card that has been written withthe students with number 2 until 5? attachment 5number 1 to 6 in it. Then the student who getnumber 6 must become the first problem readerand the student who get number 1 has anopportunity to solve the 1 problemThanks for your question student, here theYes we do Mom, but how about the problemsecond rule, the other students must try to solvereader? Is he just read the problem and histhe problem too, because if the student that injob is done?turn cant solve the problem, the opportunitywill be given to the next student in clockwisedirection, do you understand so far?No, there is an information about the time to Mom, is the problem reader have a chance to Seedo the problem in every card, so Ill give one solve the problem?attachment 6stopwatch in every table and the problem readermust count the time when the other students startto do the problem and finish the work when thetimes is up. Problem reader also lead the otherstudent to correct their workOf course guys, here I tell you, the problemYes Mom, how if no one can solve thereader must change after one student finish hisproblem?turn in clockwise direction too, so every studentsin the tournament table have an opportunity tobecome a problem reader, do you understand sofar?excellent, if no one cant solve the problem, Oh yes, is there any other rule Mom?just left the card in the sideYes, the last rule, every problem card that canbe solve must be brought by the people who UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 7 8. Teachers Activities Students Activities NoteTimes AllocationDone the problem, because we will count the Yes Mompoint by count the card. After the game, youmust back to your early group and count yourtotal points in group. I will tell you the point ofeach card later. We will do this game in twoturn, so if you can answer all of the problemsgiven, each of you will collect 2 cards. Ok thatsall the rules. Is it clear? So, are you ready to do this game guys? READY MOOMThe teacher(The tournament start)observes thestudentsactivity, make surethat they doas in the rule.ConfirmationThe tournament has finish and the teacher ask Students do the teacher order.10 minuteseverybody to get back to their early group.Ok guys, since you have finish the tournament, Yes Momplease get back to your early group, dont forgetto bring the card that youve been earnTeacher gives the rule for counting the point.Students listen to the teacher explanation.Have you been in your early group guys? Yes mom, we havenow, Ill tell you all about how to count your Oooo, as you say Momscore, Ive wrote score in every card, so youonly need to add them up, then divide them with10, thus the final score that you must give to me,is it clear?(Teacher give 5 minute for the student to count (Students count the score)the total score)Ok Student, please collect your score (Students collect their score)Thank youSo, is there any problem that you dont UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 8 9. Teachers ActivitiesStudents ActivitiesNote Times AllocationUnderstand or you cant solve?Student J : Yes Mom, I am curious about the name of shape in question B, I think that is neither prism or pyramid, so what is that Mom?Good question student J, that shape is knownThats cool, Okay momas frustum, just for your additional knowledge, afrustum actually is a pyramid that cut at theapex, so it has no apex, if you extend the lateraledges, they will meet in one point which is calledapex. Thats why I told you before that frustumis a pyramid that is cut on top. But dont worryguys you will get that materials in higher levellater, Ok?Is there any other question? Student W :Yes Mom, it is said that the nameThanks for your Question, Student , before Iof pyramid is based on its base face, so foranswer your question do you have your ownexample if the base is not a regular hexagonalopinion?how do we call the pyramid? Student W : yes mom. In my opinion it is stillBrilliant. Since the base is hexagonal we can hexagonal pyramid since the base is insay that those pyramid is hexagonal pyramidhexagonal formeven the base is not regular hexagonal. Is itOOOO,,,oke thank you momclear?yes youre welcome. So is there any other No mom, it is clear.question?ClosingTeacher leads the students to get the conclusion.Students express their opinion to get conclusion5 minutesOk, we have learned about the definition ,Student X : Mom, May I?components and properties of prism and UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 9 10. Teachers Activities Students ActivitiesNote Times Allocationpyramid, so is there anyone who want to sharethe knowledge that we have today?Yes please student Xtoday weve learned the definition of prismand pyramid. Prism is a solid figure which arecongruent and parallel, and by other faceswhich intersect at parallel edges and Pyramidis a solid figure which is bounded by apolygonal base and a number of triangles asits lateral faces which meet at a single pointcalled apexGood, How about the components, is there Student Y :Yes, me momanyone to share?Ok student Y, pleaseComponents of Prism are edges, vertices, sides, face diagonals, space diagonals andGood, how about the components ofdiagonal planes, rectangle lateral facesPyramid? Components of pyramid are edges, vertices, sides, face diagonals, space diagonals anddiagonal planes, triangle lateral faces, andapexTeacher announces the best group.Thats good, thats our conclusion today, IYes Momthink this is the time for me to announce who isthe best group, are you ready guys?(Suppose the best group is group A)So the best group is group A. CongratulationsHoreee,,,thank you Momgroup A. Each of your member will get plus 5(The other students give applause)point in the next exam. Give applause to groupAYoure welcome UM MIPA | Mathematics Class Scenario TGT Model - By Dhini W.R 10 11.
