Mathematically,
½ ÷ ½ =1
So, one ½ is needed to make half of one whole.

Mathematically,
1 ÷ ¼ = 4
So, 4 ¼ are needed to make one whole.

Mathematically,
¼ ÷ ½ = ½
So, ½ of ½ of a whole (¼) is needed to make one quarter of
