MATHS ACTIVITY FOR CLASS III

ACTIVITY NO 1.

TITLE:-To understand the meaning of one half, one third and one fourth ofa whole .

OBJECTIVES: To demonstrate the fraction as a whole.

MATERIAL REQUIRED:Frame of Circle, Blocks of shapes of two

semicircles, three sectors & four quarters of circles.

First of all show the frame of a circle to all the students.

show the children that we use taking one out of the two hales so one

"lock of circle is representing one half ()*+ of the circle.

are showing that three thirds of circle completes the whole part.

TITLE:-To understand the meaning of one fourth, two fourth and three

fourth of a collection.

OBJECTIVES:To demonstrate the fractional num"er as a part of collection

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

Concept of Diision in to equal parts.

trays for different students.

Firstly count the mar"les & diide the collection of +2 mar"les into four

equal groups of 3 mar"les in a tray .

-e will show the students that one group of collection is remoed from

four groups i.e. one out of four is returned or one fourth of collection is

remoed .

Thus each group is representing the onefourth of collection .
