Package 1 • Unit by Unit assessment – Unit Assessment Support for each individual

Unit in a Course, covering all of the Outcomes and Assessment Standards.

Package 2 • Combined assessment – supports a combined approach to assessment

which can be effective for gathering evidence across a number of Units of a Course

Package 3 • Portfolio – supports a portfolio approach by providing information on

judging evidence for assessment covering all Outcomes and Assessment Standards for all the Units in a Course

Mathematics National 4 and 5

Package 1•Is achieved if correct in at least half of the main points of process and accuracy during assessment of all the sub-skills.

Mathematics National 4 and 5Package 2•The Assessment Standard will be met when the candidate has successfully demonstrated competence in at least half of the sub-skills.

•A sub-skill has been successfully demonstrated when more than half the points of process and accuracy have been met for that sub-skill.

Mathematics National 4 and 5Pack 3•The Assessment Standard will be met when the candidate has successfully demonstrated competence in at least half of the sub-skillsor •is correct in at least half of the points of process and accuracy during assessment of all the sub-skills. •A sub-skill has been successfully demonstrated when more than half the points of process and accuracy have been met for that

sub-skill.

• #2.1/ 2.2 for all packs• This Assessment Standard should be achieved

on at least one occasion.

Lifeskills Mathematics National 4 and 5

• at least half of the strategy/ process ( if process is applicable) opportunities available in the specific assessment guidelines.

AND• in at least half of the communication opportunities

available in the specific assessment guidelines.

National 4 Added Value Unit Mathematics

• Reasoning skillsThese must be demonstrated in at least half of the

reasoning opportunities identified in the specific assessment guidelines.

• Operational skillsThese must be applied accurately in at least half of the

points of process and accuracy identified in the specific assessment guidelines.

Added Value Unit Lifeskills Mathematics

• Reasoning skillsThese must be demonstrated in at least half of the reasoning

opportunities identified in the specific assessment guidelines across the test as a whole.

• Operational skillsProcesses must be carried through accurately in at least half of

the operational opportunities identified in the specific assessment guidelines across the test as a whole.
