Matt is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of

long-term business plans for an open-air center portfolio in Arizona,

California, Colorado, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. He has been

passionate about commercial real estate for 30 years and earned his real

estate license the day he turned 18.

Matt encourages his team to think like owners. “We ask them to look at all

perspectives: the shoppers, the community, and the retailers. Ultimately,

our goal is to provide an environment in which our tenants can thrive, by

creating an inviting place where people want to gather and spend time.”

President of the West Region for Brixmor Property Group since 2014, Matt

joined the company as Vice President, Leasing with New Plan Excel

Reality, Inc. a predecessor to Brixmor, in 2006. He earned a Bachelor of

Science in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California.

Matt and his wife have two grown children and enjoy traveling and taking

advantage of the great weather in San Diego.
