My Favorite Things Quilt

How I Created My Kid Pix Quilt

My Kid Pix quilt represents many things I enjoy. To make this quilt I used several different drawing tools from the presentation program, Kid Pix Studio Deluxe. First I clicked on a tool called an eggbeater. When I selected this tool and clicked in the center of the screen, it created twenty five boxes. I then took the paint can and created a pattern with two colors. I then selected stamps of some of my favorite things. These stamps were edited by me and added to the quilt. By using the “Control” and “Shift” key I changed the sizes of the stamps before adding to my pattern. One thing I really enjoy is downhill ski racing. (EpicMix) That is why I put the downhill ski racer. I also like to regular downhill ski (and cross country ski) and I like architecture, so that is why I put the Eiffel Tower. I am also into mechanics, so that explains the hovercraft, boat, and motorcycle. My favorite kind of animal is the Artic Penguin. I also love thunderstorms, so that explains the lightning bolt. I really like watching them out my window. These are all my favorite things. If you were to make a quilt of your own, what would it look like?

My Favorite Sport My favorite sport is soccer. I

like it because is an easy sport to learn. I like it so much, I play year round, when I used to play for only one season. My outdoor team had a great record. We had nine wins, two losses and one tie. My favorite position is middle offense. I have been playing since I was two, but the only difference is that I don’t trip over the ball when I have it anymore.

My Favorite Book

My favorite book is Divergent. It takes place in Chicago and it is fun to read about such a peaceful place being turned upside-down. Also, I like the format of the book that is unique from a lot of other books that I have read. The main character talks as if it is over, but it really is still happening at that moment. There are currently three books in the series, Divergent, Insurgent and Allegent. Also, there is a movie out based on Divergent and has the same name.

My Best Friend

My best friend is named Kyle. He is in fourth grade, and he has a little brother named Carson. Kyle likes to play football, wrestle, and play Xbox. Also, he likes to make LEGO things. He is very fun to play with.

My Favorite Animal

My favorite animal is a penguin because I like where they live. I also like how they look, and I like how they live, too. And they look funny sliding down the ice! They can live in extremely cold temperatures, and they can dive far, far down in the ocean. That is why the penguin is my favorite animal.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is Star Wars: The Empire Rising because I like sci-fi books and movies. I also like the Star Wars music, but I always mix it up with Indiana Jones. I am watching the original version of Star Wars. I like the laser sounds, it makes it so much more exciting! That is why Star Wars: The Empire Rising is my favorite movie.
