About the Cast, Crew & Musicians

This is Junior SAMANTHA ABRAMS’ (Crew) fir st stage crew gig. She enjoys playing volleyball and running hurdles, along with going on long runs with her dog. JULIA ALO (Ronnette) is a Junior . She has been on the stage for as long she can remember, starring in Broadway Spectacular as Mary Poppins, 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, Godspell, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court, Aladdin Jr., Law and Order: A Nursery Rhyme Unit, Midsummer Jersey, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Almost Maine, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, The Importance of Being Earnest and now Little Shop. Outside of band, choir, marching band and theatre, Julia enjoys drawing, singing and being with friends. A shout to her family and friends - hope you enjoy the show! :) DIMITRI BATTLE (Narrator/Transient) moved here from down South over a decade ago. He went to Lunenburg High for his freshman year, but then decided to grace ASRHS with his presence, continuing now as a Junior. Dimitri loves athletics, and is on the swim team. He likes the sciences and plans on one day becoming a marine biologist. Truthfully, his friend tricked him into doing the musical, something he can't for the life of him figure out how, but he plans to investigate the matter post haste, after all performances have ended! If you find any clues, please contact him immediately. This is ABIGAIL BILLINGS’ (Transient) fir st year in the Drama Club. She enjoys musical theater very much—Hamilton being one of her favorites. A Junior, Abigail was most recently seen in the Club’s METG Theater Celebration entry What I Left Behind. Abby would like to give thanks to her family for letting her join the Club, and Mrs. Govang for letting her be part of the Little Shop Ensemble. Hopefully there’ll be more plays and musicals like this in her future! ALEXIS BLACKWELL (Wino #1/Patient) is a Junior . She has been seen onstage in … Charlie Brown, Almost Maine, I Need An Vocation, and most recently in ASRHS Drama’s METG Celebration entry What I Left Behind. She has also worked on the stage crew for other shows, and is a proud “band nerd.” Alexis would like to thank her Mom and other people who have helped her. She’d also like to dedicate this show to her Dad. “I love you, little man.” LOLLY CAPASSO (Mrs. Mushnik) is a reluctant par ticipant in this show. She returns to the high school stage after a 35-year absence as a lead in a musical. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching at ASRHS, grading papers, traveling the world while grading papers, and shedding tears over said papers. Mrs. Capasso would like to thank her husband, for giving up hot meals for two months, her dogs for listening to what some consider singing while the vacuum runs, and director JulieAnn Govang for making the best casting decision of her life. CAROLYN COOPER* (Audrey) is a Senior who probably did too much this year for her own good. Along with being in the Drama Club since sixth grade, Carolyn is involved in volleyball, marching, concert and jazz bands, concert choir, and the school’s EMT Course. She is going to be attending UMASS/Amherst next fall to study music education and performance. Carolyn would like to thank her parents, sister, and friends for all their support over the years. Another huge thank you to Mrs. Govang, as none of this would have been possible without her, and to the rest of the Club - the people who provided her with a family with bonds that can not be easily broken and memories that will last a lifetime. ...continued on next page 3

Carolyn is going to miss them all so much next year, and can’t put into words how thankful she is for them, but she can’t wait to see the amazing things they accomplish in the years to come. Junior VANESSA DELK (Crew) has participated in the shows in some way since middle school. This is her first year doing stage crew, as she usually does pit for the musicals. Vanessa would like to thank Mrs. Govang for putting on a lovely show and anyone who helped her with rides during the production. She hopes you enjoy! TOMMY DENTINO* (Drums) is an absolutely whole-hearted dawg. He was accepted into, and plans on attending UMass/Amherst to study mathematics. He’s played drum set in every spring musical since his freshman year, and is also a member of concert band. Apart from music, he enjoys sports, earning the position of captain of the football and lacrosse teams this year. VANESSA GAMEZ (Crew) is brand new to being a crew member .

Junior CHRIS GOVANG (Seymour) was seen in this year ’s METG entry, What I Left

Behind, for which he received an award for Outstanding Performance, and he played

Algernon in last Fall’s The Importance of Being Earnest. Last season, Chris was Stage

Manager for Almost, Maine at the METG Celebration, as well as performing as Linus

Van Pelt in Y ou're A Good Man Charlie Brown, for which he received an award for

Outstanding Performance. Prior to that, you may remember him as Leaf Coneybear in

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee or Chip in Beauty & the Beast on this

stage, and he has often been seen on the Concord Youth Theater stage, as well as being

a regular Stage Manager for ArtsNashoba. Last summer, Chris portrayed Gomez in The

Addams Family and Prentiss in Peter and the Starcatcher at Middlesex School Summer

Arts (MSSA), where he will be working this summer. Chris is a member of NHS, plays

flute, piccolo and clarinet in the Concert Band, and also sings with the Chorus. ERIC GRAVELLE* (Crew) is a Senior and will be attending Mount Wachusett Community College next year for Engineering and Physics. He is also in an EMT class. He has been on stage crew for every production in the high school since 8th grade, and otherwise enjoys rock climbing, track and field, listening to music and riding dirt bikes. CAILIDH HOUDE (Crew) is a Sophomore. She loves volleyball and enjoys long walks with her cat. She is planning on pursuing her dream of living in a van and selling cupcakes after college. She also dreams of owning a chicken farm. She hopes everyone enjoys the show and if you want to find her, just look for the lost one backstage. NATALIE KALGREN (Audrey II Puppeteer/Transient) is a Sophomore who is one of the duo moving the plant. A member of the 2019 Quick Wits Improv Troupe, she began her “backstage” career last season with ...Charlie Brown. Natalie plays sports sometimes, reads a lot, and hopes that everyone enjoys the show! KATIE KILCOMMINS (Interviewer/Bernstein/Transient) is a Freshman, this is her tenth show so far, the last being “The Importance of Being Earnest” this past Fall. A member of the volleyball, mock trial and robotics teams, she’s always busy and she’d like to thank her parents and brother for driving her to practices and supporting her.

Senior RYAN KILCOMMINS* (Stage Manager) has been on stage crews for the last 7 years throughout middle and high school graduating to Stage Manager for the Drama Club productions and the ASEF Lip Sync show. In his spare time Ryan plays soccer, is a member of the robotics team, and is in Boy Scouts and the National Honor Society. He would also like to thank Mrs. Govang for everything that she does to make these productions great, and his parents for their support. Ryan is a Senior, and will be attending Holy Cross next fall. Sophomore OWEN MACDONALD (Percussion) is tired of having google put that red squiggly line under his last name every time he writes it. He likes to play marimba and listen to music. He collects rocks for a hobby, including all 6 infinity stones. The universe only continues to exist by his currently good mood. WILL MACDONALD (Sound Op) is a Sophomore with a tendency to procrastinate on just about everything. Besides making really good bread in his free time, he is a part of the marching and jazz bands, and the Mock Trial team. Will would like to thank the cast for putting up with him, and his parents for waiting a lot. JERRY MAILLET (Wino #2) says his bio got lost while he was r iding the Zamboni across the gym. Junior ANTHONY MAVILIA (Orin Scrivello, D.D.S./Mrs. Luce/Patrick Martin) is somehow in this show despite his lack of singing experience. He decided to push himself anyway, and because singing in front of an audience is not enough for his first musical, he is also taking on multiple roles— all of which completely outside his comfort zone. But that’s okay, because he loves the Drama Club, so he is doing it anyway! Previously you have seen Anthony here in Almost Maine and most recently, The Importance of Being Earnest. (He is excited about having a bigger role in this show.) When Anthony is not practicing his singing, he is somehow still the safety lead in robotics, somehow still in NHS, somehow still swimming on varsity, or attempting to fix his car. He still has no idea how to read music, but hopes you enjoy the show! ASHLEIGH OESTREICHER (Crew) is a Sophomore who enjoys playing volleyball, singing ‘Sweet but Psyco’ to annoy her friends, and playing with her dog, Summer... or as many people know her, Beanz or SIlly SuSu. You can normally find her (Ashleigh, not Summer) belting Shawn Mendes lyrics by herself or accidentally not following directions. You will definitely not find her in a zoo or an aviary. OLIVIA OESTREICHER (Crystal) is a Sophomore. This is her second high school show and her 12th production onstage. Outside of Drama Club, Olivia plays oboe in the concert band, flute in the marching band and tenor sax in the jazz band.. She sings in the concert choir, as well as the Central Massachusetts Districts Choir and the All-State Massachusetts Choir, with an All-National American Choir recommendation. She is a piano and voice student, Social Media Lead for the Robotics team, is on the mock trial team, plays on the volleyball and basketball teams, and is a newly inducted member of the National Honor Society. She would like to thank Indian Hill School of Music for supporting her music journey, as well as her parents, friends, dog, and fish for their endless support and advice. A special thank you to Deran Quinty not only for SO many rides, but for being such a great friend. She would like to thank Mr. Ketterer for guiding her on her musical journey and “dealing” with her jokes, and Mrs. Govang for being so continuously gracious and flexible with her schedule. Enjoy the show!

MASON PYATT (Audrey II Puppeteer/Transient) is a Freshmen, and he enjoys all things short, succinct, and concise. Enjoy the show. CAT QUINTY (Set Dressing) is a Sophomore and has been doing stage crew for one year, mostly recently by working EARNESTLY on our Fall show. She knows this show is going to do well, because everyone involved has GROWN so much during rehearsals, they could conquer the world. DERAN QUINTY (Audrey II Voice) is a Junior . He has done every show since his Freshman year, including The Importance of Being Earnest, ...Charlie Brown, ...Spelling Bee, Almost Maine, I Need a Vocation, and more. He also performs in the Quick Wits, jazz band, concert band, marching band and choir. When he’s not making music, he’s either obsessing over the UMass Minuteman Marching Band, watching Arrow, or hanging out with his friends. Deran would like to thank Mr. Ketterer for being the best teacher, band director, and mentor an aspiring musician could hope for. Thanks also to Casey Morse for supporting him, acting like a total goofball with him, and generally being the Beavis to his Butthead. CAMILA RAMOS-MERCADO* (Customer #2/Transient) is a Senior last seen in ASRHS Drama’s production of Y ou’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and she is ecstatic to be in this year’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. Camila was in choir for all four years of high school, as well as two more years in elementary school. She has also participated in her church choir. CLAUDIA RAMOS-MERCADO (Customer #1/Transient) is a Sophomore. She was Eudora in last year’s Y ou’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and played a bird in the show, too. Other than the musicals, Claudia is involved in Choir, Glee Club, and played soccer last Fall. She’d like to thank Mrs. Govang and Mr. Ketterer for the tremendous amount of work they have put into this amazing production. Without them, this show would not be as spectacular as it has become. She would also like to thank her parents and family for their support and letting her do what she loves while having fun. EMILY RUSSELL (Skip Snip/Transient) is a Junior involved in many of the school’s extra-curriculars including track, band and NHS. With the Drama Club she has been featured onstage in ...Charlie Brown and Almost Maine, and she has also played backstage. Emily would like to thank everybody who contributed to this production, especially Mrs. Govang and Mr. Ketterer who dedicated so much time. This is Junior ALEXIS RUSSO’s (Crew) fir st time doing stage crew for Ayer Shirley, and she enjoys running for the track team, playing volleyball, as well as spending time with friends. ZOE SALDANA (Guitar) is a Sophomore and second year pit band member . She is an aspiring ventriloquist, wants to make pun battles a sport and likes going on bike rides when it is sunny. Zoe hopes one day to become a safari guide in Africa. She wants to thank her doggie Luke for all the love and support he gives her, and she hopes that you all enjoy the show! OWEN SALTER (Lighting Design) is a Sophomore. This is his four th performance with the school, and second working with the lights. Owen likes programming, robotics and strategy games, and would like to thank his parents for driving him all over town at late hours.

DANTE SEQUIERA* (Sound Operator) plays football AND works backstage. Junior CASSIDY WENSTROM (Chiffon) was found in a cave in Transylvania at the (estimated) age of three. A roaming couple of sheep herders decided to take her in and call Cassidy their own, until one night when they discovered the toddler digging in the basement and devouring all insect life she could find. It was then that Cassidy was sent to the U.S. where she began a life of home after home, never quite fitting in. As fate would have it, though, the kind-hearted Wenstrom family came upon her and fell in love. They keep her on a high-protein diet, let her sleep in the basement, and don't judge when Cassidy feels she needs to howl at the moon. They love her as she is, especially in her ASRHS performances in Almost Maine, ...Spelling Bee and I Need a Vocation.

Want to support the Drama Club? Here’s how you can!

Volunteer your Time & Skills: Can you sew, build, design, create, imagine? We are ALWAYS in need of folks to work on sets, costumes, props, etc.

Make a Monetary Contribution: Shows are expensive and fundraising is a perpetual state when it comes to these productions. Every dollar counts!

Make an Item Donation: Cleaning out a closet or two? Downsizing? Garage a bit too full to fit the car in? A bag of white drapes can become a blizzard. Prom

gowns become turn-of-the-century garb. You’d be amazed at what we can create from another person’s “junk,” and if we cannot use it in a show, we’ll include it in our annual Tag Sale Fundraiser May 25!

Most Importantly: Please continue to come to our productions to best support the Arts in our District.

Email [email protected] to volunteer for any of the above!
