Congratulations! This is an exciting term with different clinical experiences. You will have preceptorship for one half the term and the other half will be split with an instructor led leadership and a clinical enrichment time.

Call your instructor first thing when you get to your preceptor site everyday, prior to entering the building. (No call could mean being marked absent).

Attendance – You must attend every day (includes leadership and clinical

enrichment ). If you are 30 min. late, it counts as absent day. 4 tardies for any portion of PN 152 equals an absence. If you are absent, your time will be made up where it was

missed. More than 2 absences may result in withdrawal from the

program.Meet with your Clinical Teaching Associate (or alternate)

first thing daily.

Students should arrive prior to the start of your shift . Arrive early the first day to allow time to find your location.

At no time will a student be allowed to leave a clinical site early unless there is an emergency or the student becomes ill during the clinical day. Contact your instructor prior to leaving clinical !

Students are not allowed to attend clinical if they are ill

Report an absence at least 1 hour before the start of the clinical shift to your instructor and site.
