Everyday Mathematics 4 Summer Transition Digital Guide

As the summer approaches, it is time to think about what to do to prepare your EM4 digital account for the

next school year. This guide provides teachers with information regarding what they need to consider doing

to their account as well as how to be ready to go as new students start.

Here are things you need to do for YOUR ACCOUNT.

Performance Data

Export performance data for students . . .

if you want to have it available next year or share it with next

year’s teacher(s).

ePresentations

Decide if you want to keep the ePresentations slides

you used last year . . .

so you still have access to all mark-up you made to your

ePresentations slides instead of starting again with clean

slides.

Here are things you need to do to set up YOUR NEW STUDENTS.

Take back digital content from last year’s students . . .

so that you have enough seats in your account to add your new students.

Remove old students and create a new student redemption code . . .

so you can assign it to your new students for the upcoming school year.

Add new students to your class for the upcoming school year . . .

so your new students can access the Student Learning Center.

Assign digital content to new students for the upcoming school year . . .

so that your new students have the correct lesson materials available in the Student Learning

Center.

Do You Want to Keep the ePresentation Slides You Used

Last Year?

When preparing for the upcoming school year, you need to consider how to handle your “class.” In

ConnectED, your “class” is important. Your planner, ePresentations, and notes are tied to your class.

Which of these statements describes you? I want to save and keep all the mark-ups I made to my

ePresentation slides last year so I can see them next

year.

I don’t care about the mark-ups I made to my

ePresentations slides last year. I am fine starting with

a new, fresh ePresentation.

IMPORTANT REMINDERDuring the summer of 2018, we will be making our last adjustment to the reports by removing the original reports and leaving only the new reports with the “BETA” label. These five reports will be the only reports available for Everyday Mathematics starting for the 2018-2019 school year.

These five reports in total, make up the new “Data Dashboard.” The "BETA" label will be removed and these will be final. There are "Quick Start" guides on how to use these reports that can be found from the Professional Development --- Implementation Support tabs in the menu.
