What’s Inside…
Hello Fellow Congregation Members,
I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather
with walks, gardening, picnic lunches or dinners,
or maybe the zoo.
Oh my, exciting times are ahead for us. We will be
resuming in person Worship on May 2nd, 2021 at 9:00am, we hope to see
you there.
The Call Committee has started the search for a new
Pastor. Now this process can take some time, so please
be patient.
The Council has been busy with reviewing the budgets, looking at bids for
the repair/replacement of the roof above the Childcare Center. This last
winter we had to do a patch, now it is time to fix it correctly. We are also
looking into a water leak in the irrigation system.
Busy, busy, busy!

Our Annual Meeting will be on May 23, 2021 at 10:00 am and we will do a
Hybrid version. We will have some people in person at the church and the
others by Zoom Meeting. More information to follow.
We hope to see you at the Fellowship “Coffee” Hour hosted every Sunday at
11am. Reminder that this is not a meeting, just friends and family getting
together to catch up! Look for new Zoom link in Friday's Blessings.
Thank you for continuing to support Resurrection with your offerings. Our
church could not function as it does without them. Our Council, Staff, and
Committees are continuing to work and keep the ministries going during this
transition. We thank you for your continued support,
As always we hope this note finds you and your family doing well.
Blessing and Grace be with you always,

PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Prayer and praise is very important at Resurrection. God hears and responds to our prayers just as a loving parent responds to a child. There are a number of levels of confidentiality in our organized prayer here at RLC. If you ask Pastor for prayer he will not share it unless you ask him to. (If you feel your prayer concerns would be best handled with a pastoral visit, please call the office or Pastor directly.) If you ask someone on staff for prayer we will assume it can be shared unless you tell us otherwise. We try to respect people’s feelings and will use our best judgment in these matters.
Submit your prayers and praises by email: [email protected] or [email protected].
Submit your prayers and praises by written message.
Attach to Prayer board in Sanctuary by the Angel window.
Write on the back of the white card and give to an usher.
Deliver prayer directly to Pastor, Candi Llano or Jim Scott.
Phone the prayers and praises to the above mentioned persons.
At Resurrection prayer is a part of our worship as well. In the prayers of the people individuals are given a chance to mention their prayer concerns in the worship it can be done either aloud or in your heart God certainly knows our needs even before we speak them. Prayers in our weekly will stay in for a period of one month. Prayers on our prayer chain will remain active for a six
week period. If you feel you would like your prayers to remain active for a longer period feel free to contact us.
We remember in prayer...

RLC’s Annual Meeting is Sunday, May 23rd at 10:00am.
Please come, your voice counts. This is where we approve
our budget for 2021 - 22, vote for new council members, the
constitution and voice our opinions and thoughts about
our church.
Hello RLC Congregation Members.
I hope this note finds you and your family well.
We have received inquiries on how members can send/give their weekly/monthly offerings.
Our plans are to resume in person worship, starting on Sunday, May 2nd at 9:00 a.m.
There will be a basket on the Usher’s table at the back of the church and you may drop your
offering in the basket on your way in or out. Please note, you may also continue to mail your
weekly/monthly offering if that is more convenient for you.
Thank you for your continued energy and support for ministry at RLC.
Blessings and Grace be with you,
Sharrie
Blessings…
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:16
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4-5 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16
There are “Christ in Our Home” daily devotions in the church office or go on-line to
find other good devotions. Below are a couple of on-line sites that I have used.

Women’s Group
Hello Ladies,
RLC's Women's Group has been meeting twice a month via Zoom. If you know
anyone who is interested please let us know. We started in meeting on Zoom in
January. Our format that we are currently using : Gathering (visit/catch up),
share our concerns and our prayers, a discussion topic and close in prayer. In
April our two topics were “Self Care” (which we all need) and “Planting Seeds”
(we shared pictures of seeds and or plants that we each were taking care of)
Both topics led to great discussions. Send us ideas for May.
Blessings,
Candi and Sharrie
We invite you to join us via Zoom on May 10th and 24th If you would like to participate or want more information
on how to Zoom...

THOUGHTS ON MOTHERS FOR MOTHER’S DAY
Mother... a mother holds her child's hand for just a short time, but holds their hearts forever.
"A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take." Cardinal Meymillod
A mother is a woman who shows you the light when you just see the dark. Grimaldos Robin
"Motherhood: All love begins and ends there."
Robert Browning
"Mothers are like glue...
Even when you can't see them, they're still holding the family together." Susan Gale

THANK YOU to all who help every Saturday. Even though we are not gathering
physically, our church grounds and building still need upkeep. Help on Saturdays is al-
ways welcome. Thank you.
The professional gardeners we employ do a bi-weekly service with lawn cutting and
general clean-up. If there is an property emergency that falls in our purview and we
are asked by management to perform a services we will handle those on an as needed
basis.

Update from the Worship Committee
Welcome Back to In-person Worship on Sunday, May 2nd!
The date and time have been set! The doors are
Opening to in-person worship in our church sanctuary
on May 2nd at 9:00am.
The planning continues, putting together the liturgy and
music by the Worship Committee and Resuming Worship
Task Force. Our first concern is the health, safety and
comfort of all who attend. An usher will welcome you as you enter and take your
temperature. Masks must be worn at all times; hand sanitizer will be available for your
use. Another usher will direct you and your family or guests to a pew, maintaining
physical distancing.
We will utilize the projection screen to share the readings and prayers, lyrics to hymns
and songs and announce upcoming events and notices. At first there will be no printed
handouts of the service. For our first service on May 2nd hymns and songs will be
pre-recorded; live singing of hymns and songs will be offered by the Festival Choir and
Holy Ruckus in the weeks ahead as we are allowed. Singing by the congregation should
be limited to humming.
The Resuming Worship Task Force is working on ways to safely offer Communion.
Progress is being made to provide each guest at the Lord’s table with a pre-packaged
wafer and wine (or juice) cup. The goal is to offer Communion before the end of May.
We are all very excited and looking forward to seeing each of you on Sunday, May 2nd
at 9:00am. It’s been a long time and the promise of seeing smiling eyes fills our hearts.
Do you have a favorite song or hymn you would like to hear? Do you have an idea that
would enhance the Sunday services? Please contact Pastor Raymond to offer your input,
suggestions and comments. Your feedback is always welcome.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:20)
May the Peace of the Lord be with each of you.

Mary Gagliardi and Beverly Riggs

News from Your Call Committee
The Call Committee began to meet shortly after the
Ministry Site Profile (MSP) was approved
on March 13th. Deacon Margy Schmitt Ajer,
our Call Process Assistant, instructed us on the
interview process and directed us to lead those
candidates we interview in an open-ended
conversation, be consistent in our approach and
respect their confidentiality.
We will keep you updated on our progress when
we begin to interview pastoral candidates. With the
guidance of the Holy Spirit we will find the person
who best fits the needs and expectations of RLC
and will walk with us into our future.
Reminder: If you would like a copy of the MSP,
please contact Candi in the church office to email
or mail you a copy.
Please remember us in your prayers as we continue the journey to identify Resurrection’s next
called pastor.
God’s Blessing to All,
Your Call Committee: Mary Gagliardi (chair), Carol Zientara (scribe),
Scott May, Walter Mills, Sarah Peterson, and Aaron Young
