Peggy Jess has been a key member of the Pump & Pantry team for 31 years. She began as a store manager at Pump 13 in St. Paul and was there for 25 years. She is now at Pump 4 in Cairo and has been there for six years. Peggy enjoys gardening, knitting stocking caps for the Salvation Army, and participating in a philantrhopic sorority that fundraises for the city

of Grand Island. She has been married 44 years to her husband Gerald and they rescue Schnauzer dogs. Peggy’s favorite memory while working at Bosselman’s was when Fred Sr. would always stop at her store with a smile and a compliment. She also noted that he would always pay for his coffee. Peggy’s advice to her fellow employees is to not let the negative things bring you down; always look for the good in any situation or person.

Pump & Pantry has sold two large lottery winning tickets in the last couple months. The first was at Pump #11 in Grand Island, where the customer won $22,000 on the 2by2 lotto game. The second winner bought their ticket at Pump #35 in Alma. They won $154,000 in the Nebraska Pick 5 drawing. Pump & Pantry also ran a Pick 5 Perks Card promotion in March. The Grand Prize Winner received tickets to the Husker Spring game and the runner-up received a Pump & Pantry gift card. Each time customers scanned their Perks Card when they purchased a Pick 5 Lottery Ticket, they were entered to win these prizes.

RUNZA FAMILY DAY AT THE RACES

BIKE NITE

CUSTOMER COMMENT

I wanted you to know that you have a fantastic manager at the Memphis Shop (Jimmy Stewart). Dean Barger was awesome too. They were honest, focused on fixing the problem, and steered me away from unnecessary repairs and expense. They knocked it out of the part with their customer service. I will be talking with my friends about the great service I received at the Memphis Shop.

Despite the rainy weather, Quaker Steak & Lube began its Bike Nite season on May 13th. Every Wednesday night features food and drink specials, musical entertainment, and displays by Harley-Davidson Central, Rod’s Powersports, and Rich & Sons. Attendees can also register to win several prizes throughout the Bike Nite season!

Fonner Park held Runza Family Day at the Races on April 4, where Danger Football and Pump & Pantry hosted a booth on the concourse. Danger players Lawrence Martin and Robbie Rouse joined marketing staff to greet fans and give autographs. DANGER UPDATEAlthough the Danger have had a few missteps this season, they remain perfect at home with only two games left in the regular season. They continue to lead the Intense Conference with an overall record of 9-3. The Danger take on Wichita Falls on June 6 before traveling to Billings on June 12.
