2021 PER CAPITA

The Per Capita amount for 2021 is $30.55 per member. The Per Capita assessment is to cover the costs of operating the Presbytery of Detroit, Synod of the Covenant and General Assembly. Our church is required to use operating funds to cover the difference between the amount the congregation contributes and the amount our church is required to pay the Presbytery of Detroit. Please help us to defray the cost burden this assessment places on our operating budget by paying your Per Capita today. ________________________________________

LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU

Stephen Ministry is a ministry in which people with special gifts for caring can put those gifts to use in a way that brings Jesus’ love and care to those who most need it. Our Stephen Ministers are ready to provide

focused, confidential, one-to-one Christian care. We can help those who are hurting experience the healing power of Christ’s love. If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time, please contact one of our Stephen Leaders – Pastor Kellie, Dr. Bob Seymour or Lorraine Paffenroth to discuss how a Stephen Minister might be able to help. __________________________________________________

BE THE “I” IN KIND AND SHARE YOUR ACTS OF KINDNESS!

JOIN THE #BEKINDLIVONIA CAMPAIGN! Banners heralding the #BeKindLivonia slogan will give each of us the opportunity to not only be kind to one another but also to physically “BE” the “I” in KIND. Everyone is encouraged to stand in front of the banner, essentially becoming the “I” before having their photo taken. The rest is simple. Post the photo to your Facebook, Instagram or other social media with the hashtag #BeKindLivonia. Then, go and spread kindness in as many ways as possible, and each time you do, snap a photo to share it on your favorite social media platform with the hashtag. Many organizations have come together to share, embrace and support #BeKindLivonia, including the City of Livonia, Livonia Police Department, Livonia Fire Department, Livonia Public Schools, Clarenceville School District, Livonia Chamber of Commerce and Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church (RGPC). Banners will be displayed at these and other sites around the community, including Rotary Park and Clements Circle Park. There’s also a banner outside Rosedale on West Chicago. Stop by to take your photo! So – find a banner, “say cheese,” take a photo and post it on social media with the hashtag … #BeKindLivonia. Then, go out and share your kindness – and images of your kindness acts!

HISTORY OF #BEKINDLIVONIA

The #BeKindLivonia campaign was borne of the success of The Blessing Bag Project, founded by Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church in 2017. Over the last several years, RGPC collaborated with the City of Livonia and the Livonia Police and Fire Departments to deliver blessing bags to thank and appreciate community groups. That meant delivering pizza and gifts for the caring staff at St. Mary Mercy Hospital working on Christmas Eve in 2018 and gift bags for hundreds of Livonia’s disabled veterans in 2019.

WAYS TO DONATE TO #BEKINDLIVONIA 2021

This year’s Blessing Bag Project will recognize and support teachers and staff in Livonia and Clarenceville school districts in December. If you would like to make a donation to support this year’s Blessing Bag effort, please visit Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church's website. Under the Giving type, choose Blessing Bag Donations LPS/Clarenceville. Individual #BeKindLivonia lawn signs will also be available to the public for a $20 donation, with proceeds supporting the Blessing Bag Project. Get your own Be Kind Livonia sign at the UPS Store #3011, 37637 Five Mile Road at Newburgh Road. Store hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The UPS Store can only accept cash or a check made out to Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church (RGPC). Rosedale has a limited number of signs available at church and you can pay in-person or via Pushpay. Let the office staff know you’ve purchased one via our app or website so they can put it aside for you.
