KRW-When did you begin Singing Dancing,Rapper and Actor?

The first time I ever performed was for a Talent Show and that sparked my interest and the reaction from the crowd was unbelieveable.

The first Professional time Singing was at age 14 where I started recording music.

I have always been dancing as little kid and picked it up when I started watching America's Best Dance Crew on (MTV -Past TV Show) and saw

crazy Robotic Dance Moves and learning to watch them and be in a Dance Crew.

The guy that ran the Dance Crew helped me record my first song and booked me.

Funny enough I just wanted to start rap music and the reason I got into rap music was because of Cam Meekins and I Recently Saw Cam

Meekins in concert not to long ago.Thats what made me realize there is more to Rap Music than the

    stereotypical rapper.

I used to think that rap was not music and now you can make Rap Music from poetry and I listen to chill Rap Music.

  • Alright I want to be a rapper now.Austin Rapped for a bit to give our Journalist Kyle R Williams a bit

into what his Music sounds Like"

    deavour.

    for Season 5

KRW- How do You Interact with your fans?Through Twitter and more prone to answer to an actual question.

Current New Zealand Musician now residing in America as a New Zealand-American Singer exploring the greater vast of Music

How was Cairo Knife Fight Name?

I met a WW2 Vet in New Zealand and he told Nick about killing time sitting in a bar and didn't wanna get involved in a knife fight in Cairo Egypt.

How long has Cairo Knife Fight been around?

Been around since 2010 and working with a new guy in this duo and Nick is originally from New Zealand.

When did you locate to America.? I relocated from New Zealand to America last year May 2014.

What is some of your favorite past time in New Zealand.I grew up in a Jazz home and formed into my own kind of entity.

What is your experience of America?People have the similar lifestyle and everyone is super friendly.

    Different kind of Climate.

Where did you perform at SXSW in 2015?We performed 6 shows and official showcase at BB Rileys.

This year it was mud and rainy and cold. Was a interesting experience with the weather.

We did 2012 SXSW as Cairo Knife Fight and 2014 in SXSW as a drummer.

Did you hear any crazy stories at SXSW?None really and just go gig to gig and just unloading gear 6 times.

What is your opinion on a regular citizen bothering a street performer and call-ing the cops on them? It seems ridiculous because being a Street performer is

    hard just like a Musician.

  • What are some of your favorite places to perform at in America?Probably The Gallery Electric. A small venue and way to get started in

America,It Can hold 150 people near a University and a intimate show.

What members are there in the band?George Pajon Cuban American-Plays Guitar

    Nick Gaffaney Drummer and Singer.

How do you interact with your fans?So far we have a website,Facebook and Twitter and communicate with them

and see what we're up too.

What new music have you released? We released a new ep called The Isolator and have a full record release in May which with this interview located below include a album review along

    with the ep.

Are you signed to a Record Label? Warner Music in New Zealand.

Album ReleaseThanks Nick for taking the time to introduce us to Cairo Knife Fight
