The Maysville Younger Woman’s Club is a service organization dedicated to im-proving the lives of those in our community and all over the world. While service is their primary focus, many projects and programs require some fundraising. Their main fundraising project is the annual charity ball which will be held on October 11th at the Cox building with a “Bollywood” theme. Another fundraising project is the collection of Maysville ornaments. The 2014 ornament is called “Welcome to Mays-ville” and is currently available for purchase from any club woman or at Traxel’s Jewelry and Bedouin’s Merle Norman. Some organizations they have supported over the past year include the Women’s Crisis Center, Camp Discovery, Scholarship to MCTC, Tom Browning Boys & Girls Club, local schools, Mason County Public Library, United Way, KET, YMCA, etc. Currently, they have 28 devoted members which meet monthly on the first Thursday of every month. Please like their Face-book page to find out more information about their club and events in which they are participating.
