The 16th annual MBIFF will return to the Grand 14 at The Market Common from December 7th - 11th, 2021. Filmmakers from around

the world will showcase their work and many of their �lms will be making their World Premieres. The MBIFF continues to be a

preferred �lm festival for up and coming �lmmakers as well as seasoned professionals.

The MBIFF has received prestigious national and international awards which include being recognized as one of the “Top 25 �lm

festivals in the World to submit To”, by Moviemaker Magazine. The MBIFF gives special thanks to Jerry Dalton and Heather Mayes

for their year-round dedication to this endeavor. To purchase tickets, visit mbi�.com or call 843-497-0220.

All ticket sales will be handled by the MBIFF Sta� either online, by phone or if any tickets are still available--the lobby

of the Grand 14 when the MBIFF begins. All Foreign Films are in English or have English Subtitles.

DAN MCMELLEN The GarageAt the age of 16, Dan started his �lmmaking career working for ABC’s Monday Night Football and directing and editing commercial spots for \local television stations. By the time he was 18 he wrote, produced, edited and directed L’dor V’dor (From Generation to Generation). A historic documentary that told the story of a local Synagogue through eyes of the children. Dan went on to study �lm production at the Uni-versity of Kansas Theater and Film Department. There he honed his skills by producing and directing over 60 student �lms. Dan’s comedy short �lm, Fine Dining, won the Kansas City Film Jubilee’s Best Collegiate �lm and Screenplay award. Dan currently lives in Los Angeles, where he works as a Producer, Editor and Director for Television and Film.

BONITA ENGELMAN Drip’s TripBonita Engelman has worked with Renaissance Entertainment for 20 years on many live action and �lm projects. She assists with the pro-duction aspects and administrative functions of producing a �lm and creating live production entertainment. Renaissance is well known in the entertainment industry for their outstanding reputation for excellence in themed attraction design, installation, and operation, both domestic and internationally

AL JULIAN Gift Al Julian entered the world of �lm and television writing, acting and production a short 9 years ago after long careers in clinical psychology and law. Since then, he has authored a dozen feature length screen-plays and a variety of teleplays, shorts and commercials. Al currently operates the business FEEDBACK FILMWORKS, L.L.C., which will continue producing short �lms and features throughout the southeast region, from Baltimore, Maryland to Austin, Texas.

BYRON HERLONG His Name is GregByron Herlong is an actor based in the Southeast. He can be seen in the �lm His Name is Greg, premiering at the Myrtle Beach Film Festival, as well as in the biopic “Son of the South”, “Scarlet Begonias”, “The Disappearance of Addie Robicheaux”, and others. He has a passion for independent �lm and the storytellers that bring them to life. He splits his time between Nashville and Atlanta.

J.R. POLI Marcus J.R. returns to the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival with his feature �lm debut MARCUS which derives from his short �lm (of the same name) that won Best Short at the 2019 festival. The Producer, Director and Writer has been involved with the �lm and television industry for over twenty years. He began his career working on hit �lms such as “Marley and Me”, “Miami Vice” and “Out of Time”. J.R. recently won several �lm festival awards including Best Film, Best Directing and Best Screenplay for MARCUS which is set to be released in 2022. He is currently in pre-

production for his next feature �lm as well as a television series

PATRICK ROPER His Name is Greg Patrick is an actor and producer originally from Seattle, WA where he did theatre and �lm. He has been working in the �lm industry of the SE for nearly a decade now and can be seen in the movies Emperor from Universal Home Entertainment and Fear Street:1666 on Net�ix and recurring in the cable shows Tyler Perry’s Sistas on BET and Florida Girls on POP TV.

ZACHARY STEPHENS A Day Like Any Other Zachary is so excited to be back at the MBIFF. He's currently based in Atlanta, Georgia where he's putting the �nishing touches on his feature �lm directorial debut, "The Face Job", a mystery comedy about foreign English teachers in China.

AARON CHRISTIAN PADEREWSKI, His Name is GregAaron Christian Paderewski is an American actor, director and producer known for his passionate directing style that is bothgritty and emotional. Aaron was born and raised in Southern California and now resides in Charleston, SC. He started his training in theater at the historic Dock Street Theater in Charleston, SC and then transitioned to TV and Film. Today Aaron is trained by working actors, coaches and casting directors out of CA, NY and ATL. Aaron is dedicated to his craft. JOE PARDAVILA The Witches of Bushwick Joe Pardavila is a broadcaster, actor, writer, director and producer born and bred in New York City. Joe was a radio personality who was heard on legendary New York City radio station, 95.5 PLJ where he was part of their successful morning show for over 15 years that had over a million listeners daily in the metropolitan area. Joe also studied Sketch & Improv Comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
