MBS Event POS:

As your full service solution, the MBS Event POS can conduct transactions outside of the bookstore, meaning that a whole new selling spectrum — graduation, stadium events, book signings, and tent sales — is within your reach, without having to worry about campus network resources. Combining the speed of the POS and the freedom of a server, it’s like having a pop-up store at your disposal wherever you may need it.

Using the MBS Event POS for Off-Campus Sales Events: In situations where you do not have access to the campus network or the store controller, MBS can configure the tablet to function as a mobile store. The tablet will utilize the same POS Server program that’s running in your store, so there’s no new app to learn, and it can be updated with your store’s latest PLU files so that everything is recognized. The only functionality that differs between the on- and off-site scenarios is credit card processing. If a phone line is available at the off-site location, credit cards can be

Using MBS Event POS for In-Store Functions: In or-der to maximize your investment, we’ve integrated the MBS hosted applications with the Event POS so that you can eas-ily access them, and even approve inSite orders!

For instance, the PI software on the Event POS makes Physical Inventory easier than ever. Equipped with wireless capability that increases your mobility, as well as real-time SKU and price verifications, MPI simplifies both year-end or cycle counts. Employees use the hand-held scanner to col-lect data quickly and easily, making inventory less disruptive and allowing business to continue as usual in your store. The software also offers an optional batch-inventory program that facilitates taking PI at your remote sites.

The MBS Event POS combines the speed of the POS and the freedom of a server, it’s like having a pop-up store at your disposal wherever you may need it.

MBS iTouch POS Terminal:

The MBS iTouch POS Terminal combines the powerful MBS POS and Electronic Payment System application used by countless collegiate retailers with the sleek, intuitive interface of Apple’s iPod Touch for a radical breakthrough in mobile point of sale.

Using the MBS Event POS for On-Campus Sales Events: On campus, the iTouch POS utilizes the existing wireless network (within the bookstore or on campus) to communi-cate to your in-store MBS System. If your campus does not have an existing wireless network, a wireless router can be purchased from MBS. In either case, your mobile unit will be able to communicate with the store POS server in real-time, exactly as the registers in your store do. Using this live connection, iTouch POS offers all of the same transaction types and tenders as your in-store registers and features an intuitive touch-screen interface with a keyboard layout, thus requiring no time-consuming pre-event setup

Using the iTouch POS for transactions: Freeing your store from traditional checkout lines, the MBS iTouch POS Terminal allows you to run a POS within your campus or

store network from any location with a wireless connection. Employees can accept credit card, one-card, student finan-cial aid and gift card payments, ultimately providing a more user-friendly, familiar, and engaging purchase experience for the customer. At the end of a transaction, from any location in the store, the MBS iTouch POS Terminal can wirelessly print a receipt. Recognizing the customer can sometimes change his or her mind; employees can also suspend transac-tions in order to support the use of other tenders, which can then be recalled at POS stations. Because it’s fully integrated with MBS applications, your data will be updated when you close out sales for the day.

Rugged Hardware

Run on the durable Sahara Slate PC i400 series of Tablet PCs, the MBS Event POS includes a docking cradle, 3 track USB MSR with mounting plate, and a ruggedized bump case. With a passive resistive touch screen and sunlight readable display, the tablet offers easy handling both inside and out. It also uti-lizes the same Gryphon scanner as the MBS POS, a Linksys wireless router and a Zebra QL Series printer.

Dynamic Software

Combining the power of Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Tech-nology with Microsoft Windows operating system, the MBS Event POS is the most powerful slate style touch screen Tablet PC you can buy. With 2 GB of DDR2 memory and 160 GB of SATA hard drive storage, it provides a robust platform for the fully integrated MBS applications.

User-Friendly Interface

Price Verification

Employees can scan an item and verify that it is in the UPC/SKU file and that the price is correct. This is a great feature for spot checking items prior to large sales events like rush or parents weekend.

Order Processing for inSite

Create and approve pick-lists by selecting from the same criteria as you would from the regular order processing menu on inSite. Once the picking lists are created you can access them from the Mobile Unit.

To begin to pick against the order, just scan each item. If the scanned product matches the order, the system accepts it and prompts the next item until the order is completely fulfilled. By bringing all of the order fulfillment options to the unit along with the scan to verify, the mobile unit provides greater flexibility and accuracy in picking Web orders.

Security

Compliant with both PCI Express 1.0a as well as ACPI 1.0b and 2.0 Compliant, the Event POS ensures secure transac-tions by utilizing several different technologies.

Space-saving Hardware

The lightweight iTouch solution resides within an ergonomic sled that includes a scanner and magnetic strip reader, making it convenient for your staff to carry on-the-go. Once transactions are complete, the iTouch POS uses a 2" MZ320 Zebra printer to provide receipts. Similarly, the iPad POS Terminal is equipped with an Infinea Tab sled that also includes a scanner and magnetic strip reader, making it just as convenient.
