• Click the drop-down menu by “Research by Subject”
• Click on “Business – Stafford” to access suggested research resources
• Click the “GO” button

Book Catalog: searching
• Book catalog will search for books at the CGPS and Simpson Libraries
• Perform a “Keyword Search”
• Enter your keywords
• Click “Search”
Book Catalog: results
• Both print and electronic books available
• Call numbers indicate location
• NetLibrary – online book
• Library of Congress - print book
Book Catalog: results
• Print book at Stafford or Simpson Libraries
• Books at Fredericksburg campus - request thru Illiad
• Click “full” for ebooks
• Click “items” or “copies” for print books
In the “Full Record”, click the “Online” link to access the book in NetLibrary
Or select NetLibrary on the Library’s homepage

What if my materials are at the main campus Library? What if UMW doesn’t have what I need?
Use Illiad to request materials not located at the Stafford Library Create an online Illiad Account Submit requests through Libraries’ website Request books, articles, dissertations Delivered online or to the Stafford Library $2 fee for articles located at Simpson Library

• Try different databases
• Try different keywords
• Use an “asterisk” for multiple word endings - *
• Phrase Searching - quotation marks
• Avoid stop words like: in, an, of, for, on, by
• Ask Librarians for assistance
