The officers took off in a high-speed chase, and finally stopped the wanted man's car. Minutes later, as the felon was being arrested, the unlicensed motorist drove up. "If y’all will just tell me how to get to the station, I'll wait for you there," he said. "I'm having a heck of a time keeping up with you." Who are you following these days? When my parents repeated that familiar phrase, I was immediately taken back to those days in my grandmother’s den and I could so vividly hear her say, “fool in the head”. It was such a simple phrase to explain the dizziness she felt. Whatever the medical explanation of vertigo may be, to Mammaw it was, “fool in the head”. One of my favorite Bible verses is I Corinthians 3:19, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.” As I have continued to live out my faith through the years, it is so apparent that the world’s ways, the world’s methods, and the world’s precepts are so opposite of God. Give/Receive. Die/Live. Empty/Fill. Weak/Strong. All of my human instincts to hoard my belongings, to compartmentalize my life, to only do what is necessary, to be prideful, and the list goes on are examples of the wisdom of this world. However, God says it is foolish to chase these things and to embrace them. So, maybe my Mammaw’s phrase, “fool in the head” was not too far off from His base. JUST AS I AM…

Recently, my parents reminded me of a phrase my grandmother, a.k.a. Mammaw, would say when her vertigo was “acting up”. If her vertigo had the room spinning, she would say she was “fool in the head”. So, maybe my Mammaw’s phrase, “fool in the head” was not too far

off from His base. Shana Herndon

NEWS FROM GOD’S SQUAD PUPPETEERS

As I sit here thinking about what to put into this newsletter, I am in awe of what God is doing with this ministry. Though we may be few, God is providing opportunities and blessings in ways I could NEVER imagine. Here are just a few:

Donations of suitcases; people willing to create puppets and stage; donations of puppets and puppet accessories; puppets participating in VBS; puppets traveling to Lynch KY; puppets participating in Gaither Night; puppets participating in the Children’s Christmas Musical

I am always amazed by provisions. There were so many apprehensions and fears in my heart when I felt His call to do this, but He reminds me daily that as long as I am following HIM faithfully, HE will ALWAYS provide. Each time we practice or handle the puppets, my heart is filled with overwhelming

JOY because I know this is HIS will. Kristie Branham
