PROGRAMSBFC is committed to offering therapeutic and recreational programs and activities for individuals of all ages and abilities. Our programs help individuals acquire the social, vocational, and recreational skills needed to thrive in our modern world. BFC strives to create an inclusive environment that fosters learning, cooperation and interaction for individuals with and without special needs.

Face-to-face interaction between humans and horses provides numerous benefits for all. We at BFC witness firsthand the powerful and beneficial connection between humans and horses each and every day. This connection creates links that can benefit body, mind, and heart and can change a life forever.

Therapeutic Horseback Riding: Therapeutic riding is an equine-assisted activity designed to teach riding skills while contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of individuals with special needs.

Hippotherapy: Hippotherapy refers to the use of the movement of the horse as a treatment strategy by occupational and physical therapists and speech/language pathologists. This treatment strategy addresses impairments and functional limitations in individuals with neuromuscular disorders, cognitive impairments and/or sensory processing dysfunction.

Horsemanship: This program offers individuals the opportunity to gain hands-on horsemanship experience while learning skills such as grooming, feeding and watering of horses, as well as cleaning stalls and paddocks.

OUR MISSIONBINA Farm Center (BFC) brings together individuals with and without special needs by offering a variety of inclusive enrichment programs that help them to both thrive personally and make their best contribution towards the communities in which they live. BFC provides a comprehensive therapeutic and recreational environment utilizing Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies, Vocational Training Programs and Creative and Complementary Therapies for children and adults with physical, developmental and emotional challenges.

SUPPORT OUR PROGRAMSBINA Farm Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that relies on the generosity and support of individuals, corporations and foundations. Gifts at any level are valued and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Sponsoring a horse is a wonderful way to ensure that BFC can continue to offer Equine-Assisted Activities & Therapies to the participants in our programs. Please visit www.binafarm.org/donate for more information on how you can make a difference, or contact a member of our development team at 508-651-2462 to discuss how your charitable gift can help support the work of BFC.

Veterans and Active Military Programs: BFC’s “Healing With Horses” program uses both mounted and unmounted equine-assisted activities to assist in physical and emotional healing. Participants will learn to become competent horsemen and women who are able to safely handle, care for and ride horses, while in the process regaining confidence, building relationships and experiencing the joy and pleasure in an activity that offers so many therapeutic benefits. This program is provided free of charge.

Vocational Training Programs: Stable Management, Organic Gardening.

Creative and Complementary Therapy Programs: Family Yoga, Rock Climbing, Music, Art, Massage.
